I have masturbated ever since I was six years old. I have also been bi ever since then too, I liked penis's first so thats basically how it started. I didnt start liking girls until I was eight and my drunked father explained to me how sex worked. I masturbated alot UNTIL THEN becausehe told me that when you have sex, sperms go and "search" for the egg. and I didnt know that this only happened after puberty, so I remember being terrified to masturbat for fear that the little microscopic sperms would just crawl out, "search" everywhere around my house until they found a vagina (being my mothers of course), and then she's get pregnant. I still did it anyway though.

When I was like...I dunno, 10 or something, I believed that to use a tampon, you must put it in your urethra (that'd be the pee hole). Imagine my friends' surprise when during a sleep over birthday party us girls were all discussing periods, pads and tampons and I said I couldn't ever use a tampon...that I couldn't imagine putting it in my pee hole.

When I was 9 I read a quote from a celebrity in Reader's Digest that said something alone the lines of "when a man has an orgasm, his legs shake a bit and then he goes to sleep". So for the next few weeks until I investigated further I believed that!

Maybe this would more of an "unbelief"...
When i was about 5 or 6, I happened to interrupt my Mom explaining the "facts of life" to my older brother. (My mom was very open about this subject, something I appreciate to this day.) She was saying that when a woman is born, she already has thousands of eggs in her tummy, to make babies when she is married. I looked at my Mom for a while, soaking that in. And then I looked down at my own tummy, and thought "you are crazy; no way are there thousands of eggs in my tummy!" Keep in mind, I'm 5 and I'm thinking chicken eggs...
I just gave my mom that look kids give you: "you are so full of sh--", and walked away...

My mother never bothered to raise me up with a clear image of sex. Whenever a bedscene on TV she didn't hide it from me.
One day when she was washing her face in the bathroom I walked up to her and asked. 'Does sex hurts?' 'No, she said'. Confused as I was; 'Why are the peoples faces so full off pain when doing it then?' She smiled 'Because they like it so much, it hurts'

I read a lot of FanFictions (stories about shows that people just borrow the characters from) and for years I wasn't really up on the sexual slang. And of course, because I was curoius like all preteens and earily teenagers are, I read some light smut. And I had no idea that masturbating was called anything but that: 'masturbating'.
So when two male characters would talk about 'jacking off' or even *more* confusing to me the British 'wanking off' I just assumed it was some strange thing that was unique to those characters.
It tooke me a couple of months and some reading of more hardcore stories until I fiugered it out.
Same thing goes with a blowjob.
Also, on a side note, I thought "being in the closet" just meant you were shy.
Imagine how imbarssed I was when I told my mom one of my best friends was in the closet, and she said: "Jared's gay?"
I was mortified. I'm so glad now at 17 I know more than I did.

I used to believe that when people had sex, they just got naked and kissed under the covers. My mother explained how sex worked to me at a young age, but the real image I got was from watching my grandma's soap operas.

Not me but a boyfriend.. we were about 19 at the time so it's still a little amazing, but something he said offhand make me dig deeper and I found that he thought women's nipples were actually solid.. no holes.. and when it was time to breastfeed, the woman had to sterilize a needle and puncture a hole before any milk could come out. Just the once, but still.

When I was about 8 or 9 I used to believe that when a woman gave birth her stomach would rip open and the doctors would have to sew them back together.

My parents were always honest with my sister and I about where babies came from, so I knew about sex and reproduction. My sister and I were both c-section babies, though, and I thought that was how babies were born. My best friend told me about natural childbirth, and I was completely horrified! I couldn't understand why ANYONE would do that!

I used to believe…

Well, when I was about 7 my cousin turned 21. At the time, I believed EVERYONE got pregnant at 21 since my mother had me at that age.
I walked up to my cousin, sat on her lap and said, "Cousin Kippy, why don't you have a baby yet?"

I used to believe…

When I was little, I was SO puzzled about how babies were born. I then made the theory that women gave birth through their mouths.
...I never wanted to have children after that [EVER.] I kept thinking I would die because I couldn't breathe. Then when I found out how it actually happens, I screamed and, still, didn't ever want to have children.

When I was about 8 years old, I used to watch a few TV programs from time to time. One of them was "Please Don't Eat The Daisies", which was a short lived sitcom about a family with four boys (two of them twins), similar in style to the Brady Bunch that came out a few years later. In "Daisies", the mother was kind of bubble headed, a bit wacky/silly. Somehow I had the idea that when a mother had a lot of kids, it mentally drained her, to the point where if she had too many she'd become really stupid. So I cautioned my mother not to have any more children (I was the oldest of 2). She asked me why and I said "because I wouldn't want you to become stupid." Well, I explained my crazy notion and she laughed, telling me it wasn't true. Even still, I secretly believed it might be true until I was a few years older and I asked a few "careful" questions of my elementary school science teacher, to later learn how silly the idea really was. ;-)
