I used to believe…
When I found out that only women can have babies, I used to think that a baby could just come out any time I went to the bathroom. Whenever I sat down, I would think, "I hope this isn't the time the baby comes."
I used to believe that ladies would get pregnant at the wedding right when the bride and groom kissed and a seed from the mans mouth to the womens mouth..then saw women who werent married pregg...so i just thought when people kissed that was sex. haha and they just took of thier clothers but not their underwear.
I was VERY confused about the mechanics of having safe sex up until l was in junior high. I had always envisioned it as a man and a woman that just stood there in this white room with a lot of fog and they had to have this big, white, cylinder-shaped paper contraption that connected them at the waist. oh and they weren't touching. at all. like there were at least several feet between them.

When I was 5 my parents told me that if I took a bath after a boy has finish taking a bath I would get pregnant because they do naughty things in the tub while bathing.

When I was a little girl my daddy used to tell me that if I hold a boy hand or if I ever kiss a boy I would become pregnant.

When I was 4, my Mama said she was going to have a baby. "It's going to be a baby-girl," she said. I replied, "Yeah, I already knew it was going to be a girl. 'Cause Daddy's not having the baby."

When I was little I overheard my mom talking about one of her friends who was pregnant. She was saying how the friend was pretty nervous about everything because "she had suffered from miscarriage before." I thought she was saying "Miss Carriage" and couldn't understand why people would make fun of her for being pregnant!

When mom explained that unborn babies eat through the bellybutton,my sister and I believed pregnant women would feed their babies by placing the food (i.e. a chicken leg), in their belly button and the baby would just reach out and take it. -We always wondered where the bones went.

One day I asked my auntie "how do women get pregnant?" then she told me "Your daddy gave your mummy a seed". Afterwards our teacher in science gave us each a seed to plant as our project. I was so worried as hell 'cause I thought that the teacher had lots of seeds in her, so I thought that daddy got the seed from teachers and plant it into mummy's butt. I believed in this for 2-4 years, util my mum explained to me properly.
gosh... all those years. and oh it happened on my kindergarden years
I used to believe that if a boy and a girl of any age liked eachother or flirted at all i thought the girl would get pregnant. So much so that I remember being at some sort of party with other childern and screaming that my sister (who was about 2 years old) was going to get pregnant. I wondered why all the adults were laughing. I also remember my parents giving me the "where babies are made" talk shortly after. The word married was an embarrassing thing to say, but I guess this was ok! lol
I used to believe that the word "married" was something to blush about. To me the word was embarrassing somehow. Anytime someone said they were married I thought it had something to do with making babies. Little did I know that in a round about way it kinda does! lol

I used to believe the blood came all at once - didn't understand why you could just sit on the toilet while it came out!

Until yr 8 in high school, I used to think sex was snogging and I'd wonder how people could have babies just by kissing and I'd never let anyone kiss me for this reason.

When I was little, my older neighbor and his friend were talking, and I heard them say something about watching porn. I figured porn was another word for movie, and therefore wanted to watch one. I went up to my mother, put on my "Big Girl Face" and proudly told her that I wanted to watch a porn with her.

i used to think that condoms were gum and i tried to buy one once when i was about 8!
I didn't really know how babies came to be; I did think kissing, hugging, hand holding, and making goofy eyes at one another had something to do with it. I thought that the state of marriage automatically meant a women would "get with child". It wasn't until 7th grade during a special presentation about human reproduction (for which mom had to give permission) that it all came together. The explanation of the sperm and egg fertilization made sense when a cartoon depiction (no details, side view of a male body) of a man who began to get an erection! I still didn't understand why blood would go to the penis or how. I was so grossed out at the thought of my mom and dad engaging in such an act. I vowed not to let that happen to me. I was very naive and sappy about love. Needless to say, I out grew those childish feelings and ideas.

When I was litte I used to go around saying the joke 'save a cow, eat a beaver' to everyone since people seemed to think it was so funny. I thought it was just supposed to be funny because eating a beaver would be gross. I stopped saying it when people got uncomfortable and all conversations came to a halt.
