When I was 2 and my Mum was pregnant with my brother she used to take me with her when she had her check-ups with the nurse.

When the nurse took her blood pressure she used the old-fashioned type thing which you have to pump by hand. I used to think that when she pumped up the machine she was pumping my Mum's tummy up too!!!

I used to believe that you would always have a baby when you had sex, no matter what. I think my mom told me this to make sure that I never slept with anyone until I was married. I also believed that people only had sex for fun. In other words, they got ready for bed, then said "Let's have a baby!" and lay down together. Very industrious.

I was at the local pool one day and was eating a huge bag of grapes. My mum told me that if I ate too many grapes I'd end up like the woman sitting near us. The woman was pregnant, but mum meant that I would get a bloated belly. Naturally I concluded that eating grapes made you pregnant!

When I was younger one of my moms friends was breastfeeding her baby. One day I finally get up the nerve to ask her if milk came out of one side and orange juice out of the other.

When I was a child, we had many friends who were lesbians. For a few months I thought that when you grew up you became a lesbian for a while until you found a man to marry. This made sense to me because all our lesbian friends were younger than my parents, but i didn't know any gay people my grandparents age. It took me a while to figure out. Luckily I had very open and supportive parents who answered my questions gently enough to let me figure it out on my own.

When I was little I thought that vaginas were inside-out penises and that they were in the same spot as penises.

I don't know how it came about, but one day when I was about 5 years old, my parents asked me if I knew what sex was (I'm sure I was talking about it like I knew what it was). I remember telling them that it was when a man and a woman hold hands and kiss and get in bed together while kissing and holding hands. They then sat me down and we had a very long discussion about what it was and why I shouldn't use the word so carelessly.

I thought being a vegetarian was cool and i had just learned what it meant, no eating meat. So one day me and my cousin and her friend were paling with those old Polly dolls from the 90's and I sad my was a virgin meaning to say vegetarian. Well i found out what it really meant. how i got the two mixed up I don't know!

When I was a young boy just learing about sex, I thought a man and woman "did it" only whwn they wanted a baby. I was totally shocked when I found out they made condoms so they could make love for pleasure and not make babies. I thought condoms were used only by very naughty persons, that is until I hrew up and used them myself when I married.

i never knew that boys had a penis and once when i accidently went into the boys bathroom and saw a urinal i wondered how they peed. when i got home from school i asked my mom how. then she gave me the birds and bees talk...

That when a married woman was twenty and she got pregnant. She just got pregnant.

I used to believe that baby's came out of belly bottons. I imagined when a woman became pregnant her belly botton would be made of metal and it would open like a fancy door in space movies.
