Up until I was 13 I seriously used to believe when a woman had a child, that it came from the OTHER hole in her body, I always wished to never have kids, because of that.

i used to think that babies came out of the moms belly button up until 3 and a half years ago when i was in 3rd grade and my 6th grade friend V told me that they came from "somewhere else" now im in 6th grade and i still think they should come throgh the belly button..............

Me and one of my sisters made our youngest sister belive that she was born too late because she had such big front-teeth. She thought that they had stopped her from coming out earlier. She belived it for many, many years.

When I was a kid I used to believe that you had babies through your stomach, when I found out where they really come out, I thought that was much worse!

I am 6 years older than my brother. When he was born, my mother had him Cesearean and I thought that all babies were born that way.

When she tried to correct me and told me that she had to have the C-section because my brother could not fit the 'normal' way, well, logic told me that he could not fit through her belly button then because where else could the baby come out? After all, all babys are created in the mothers STOMACH.

Until the age of ten or eleven I believed that a baby came out of a woman's butt. I was so disgusted and I wondered if when I could have a baby, it would be covered in poo.

i remeber when i was about 5 thinking that a cesarian was like a jigsaw.... they would cut out bits of ur stomach, get the baby out, then put the bits bak together again..... i had no idea wat the real thing was really like!!

My 6 year old cousin was watching TV when our nana left the room, and I went to the bathroom. When I came back, my cousin was in the kitchen telling nana that people were pulling a baby out of a woman's butt. She had changed the channel to TLC, and A Baby Story was on. Needless to say, nana was confused.

I used to think that to give birth, a woman had a slit cut into her inner thigh, and the baby would come out.

When I was a little girl I thought babies came from your belly button. There was no other logical explanation for having one in my opinion, and they did grow in your tummy. I said it matter of factly at the dinner table one day in conversation as if it was common knowledge and got quite a funny reaction from my family. My reaction to them correcting me was even more hilarious.

I knew babies grew inside the mother, but not how they were born. I thought the mother had a door on her back that opened up, like the battery compartment some of my talking dolls had. The baby would just fall out.

When I have told this as an adult, every mother who has heard it has said something like, "if only."

One day I overheard my mum and my friends mum talking about when we were born and how much we weighed (I was 8 pounds, she was 6). Because the money in the UK is in pounds too, I thought that you had to pay to pick your baby up from the hospital and for years I thought that my mum and dad must love me more than hers did because they paid more for me.

i used to believe that when a woman has a baby it came out of her bellybutton. My mother told me that when the baby was ready the nurse would press really hard on the mothers stomach and the baby would pop out. How mortifies was I when my younger cousin (of three years) said 'No they don't they come out of here' (pointing smartly at the said area) I began to cry!!!

I was delivered by C-section and my mom told me that they to cut her open to get me out and I used to think that's how all babies were born as in you had to cut the mother open to get them out!
