When I was little, I used to believe that women gave birth through their belly buttons because of a story my mother told me about how I kept pulling on the umbilical cord when she was pregnant with me. She told me that it was like I was trying to peek through her belly button.

I was born by emergency c-section. When I asked my parents how I was born, they said I was cut out of my mum's stomach. They never mentioned it was an emergency so I just thought everyone was born with the doctor cutting a square in your mum's stomach and, grabbing you out and then sowing her back up.

I used to believe that all births were C-section and all mid-wives had the expertise to perform a C-section.
Also believed that women gave birth to boys while men gave birth to girls.(Balance in nature) Weird ??

I used to believe that babies came out of a woman's stomach, that the skin would just break and the baby would come out that way. I would stuff pillows and baby dolls up my shirt when I was little, and would act like they were coming out of my stomach when I "had them"
