When I was about 13 a friend of mine told my little brother that a blow job was when someone gave you $20. Bro was 6 at the time so just imaging how tore up I got by Dad after my brother asked him for a blow job.

I overheard some people talking about "giving head" during sex. I always thought this ment sticking your whole head (as in skull) up the women's genitalia. My girlfriend was quite surprised when I tried to do this to her especially as I have a larger then average head.

I thought that oral sex was making out. I thought this until I was 20 and was sitting in a sermon about sex before marriage and the pastor speaking to us condemned oral sex even in marriage. I didn't understand what was wrong with making out. He then said just because the plumbing fits doesn’t mean God intended it that way. Later that night I figured out what oral sex really was. I think this guys sermon caused more people to have dirty thoughts than it prevented.

Until I was about 11, I didn't know what oral sex was. I knew that there was a toothbrush company called "Oral-B" I thought that because the toothbrush cleaned your mouth, oral meant clean and therefore oral sex was clean sex.

Well, after learning about "oral sex" i thought that everything that has the word oral inside of it ment that kind of sex. One day my french teacher said "Today class, we're gonna take an oraltest" I was sooooo disqested, I wanted to complain to the princaple that the teacher was making us have oral sex with each other. I was expecially disqested when i was paired up with the most UGLIEST guy in the world. I learned eventually. ( i was in 6th grade)

I used to believe that oral sex meant that you talked to somebody while you were both masturbating. This is a lyric from an Alanis Morissette song, but my belief extended beyond the song.

Yet another one of my misunderstandings that my friends had to sort out for me. After I had asked very loudly in the school dining room what it was.

Okay, so I like this TV show called Star Trek the Next Generation, and this character called Deanna Troi has this big, crazy hairstyle, and I saw a picture someone had drawn of Data (an android who's a character on the show) asking Captain Picard (another character) what a blowjob is and Picard replying, "Ask Troi". I thought that because of Troi's hair, that a blowjob was a type of hairstyle.

Later, when I learnt it was sexual, I just thought it was simply a word for sex, nothing specific.

I used to think sex was running around in a field naked.

As well, I used to think that french kissing was something french people invented, and that only they were allowed to do.

I used to think that oral was something to do with eyes so i thought oral sex was watching someone do something to themselves and i got very confuzzled =)
