Once when I was about eight or nine I was supposed to go to a winter camp in Brownies. On the packing list they included ''Pads and Tampons''. Our Brownie teacher said, ''Oh don't worry about those. That's for the Pathfinders (the older Girl Guides).''
I didn't know what pads and tampons were so I ran around telling EVERYONE, ''Oh, on my camp list they included pads and tampons but we don't need those! Isn't that dumb?''
My mom shushed me after that.
When i was 11 years old i got my first period. Not knowing exactly what it was i believed it was the moment in a womans life when she could get pregnant if she had sex. I knew that men squirted some sort of liquid from their penesis, so i remember getting into the bathtub that night and pouring water from the tap directly into my vagina, hoping to get pregnant!!!

When i was in 3rd grade, my friend told me that when you had a period it came through your nipples in your breasts.

Okay, I was 11 at the time, my friend Mary was 24. We were out camping. So, we were riding around on the ATV, when she had to go to the bathroom. Suddenly, well, here is the conversation.
Her: Okay, Lexi, I have to go to the bathroom! Back in a second!
Me: Okay. Don't take too long-I'll ditch you!
Her: (In the bathroom) (Suddenly) OH SH*T SH*T SH*T SH*T!!!!!
(This repeated for a while)
Me: Sara- you okay?????????
Sara: SH*T! I just got my period!!!
Me: (I thought she said FORgot, not GOT) What? I thought you said you had to go to the bathroom! You didn't say you were writing a story!!!!! Geez, I was waiting forever-and here you are, writing a story.

Figure it out. She still reminds me of that day. Every waking moment. And then I tell her at least I haven't gotten my period yet! Then we burst out laughing.
when i came to the US in 7th grade. a classmate asked me if i had period. she believed chinese, unlike americans, might or might have period.
My boyfriend's 18 and he thought that periods only last one day! I told him and he was very surprised and said that he's really glad he isn't a girl! :)

when i was younger my older sister and her friend were talking about their periods, and when i heard that you just keep bleeding i thought that it hurt really bad, and i started crying and they had to calm me down.
When I first saw a sanitary pad I thought it was used as a sponge to clean the bathroom, beacuse that's where I usualyy found them. Later I saw the packaging and thought that maybe they were adult diapers.
