When I was a young boy - around 9 - I remember announcing seriously one day at the dinner table that when I grew up I would only be able to have 2 children. My mother asked me why and I replied "Because I only have 2 testicles".

I was not prepared for my parents reaction. They literally fell about laughing to the point where they were literally wiping tears from their eyes. I just sat there saying "What? What?"

Of course, I eventually got the explanation but it wasn't until some time later that I too saw the funny side.

I believed that humans and animals could have babies together and the mentally challenged kids at school were believed to be the dog-human babies

When I asked my mom where I came from, she told me I came from her tummy. I refused to believe that. Instead, I imagined a giant hospital room filled with babies. God put them there, and that's where your parents got you.

I used to think babies came from beer stores, and they rolled out on the rolly thing. I also used to think you grew up to be an animal, I always wanted to be a dog.

when i was really little, i used to live next to some people who had 5 kids, 4 boys and 1 girl. i thought that the sex of the baby was determined by whoever did the most work when the parents were having sex. later i found out that it had to do with chromosomes. *hehe*

I used to believe as a kid that when your Mum got pregnant, the baby grew in her body standing upright. eg: The baby's legs grew in the Mother's legs and it's arms grew in the mother's Arms.

What makes it worse, I used to think that the baby could see out of the mother's eyes and that's how it knew where it's home and family was.... lol

I used to believe that a man and a woman made babies by the man peeing in the woman.

Because on TV, couples slept together and then had babies, I figured something jumped through the air from the man to the woman. Consequently, on an overnight train trip I refused to go to sleep! That's how my Mom found out about my beliefs and "filled me in".

When I was little I thought that you became pregnant when you got married, but then I'd get really confused when I met people with kids who'd never been married, another thing that confused me was where I came from scince I was the seconed child in my family and I couldn't have come from the church like my sister

When I was little, about 8 or 7 I used to beleive that when you were born, you had a baby inside you and as you grew so did the baby until you got old enough and then you had a baby. I believed thid until I was in Junior High and they showed us "rhe movie" that told us about our monthly cycles, but I still did'nt know how babies were concieved untill a few years later . I lived a very sheltered childhood!

I used to believe that in order for a couple to have a baby, they had to have sex exactly six times. So, for instance, a woman with three kids had only had sex 18 times!
