i used to think that when people said you can't drink and drive, it meant you cant drink anything while driving. when one day, i saw my friend's mom drinking coffe while driving out of the school parking lot, i screamed to my mother, "mommy- she's drinking and driving! isn't that illegal?am i allowed to go in her car anymore?" it wasn't till later on when i understood.

My sister used to believe that a serial killer was someone who killed cereal makers and stole their recipes!! She believed this until she was 15, and me being the younger sister, had to correct her!!!

When my mom and her siblings were little, my grandpa used to warn them that they'd get, "a ticket" if they ever did something bad. He was a huge guy, but a gentle giant. Nevertheless, I don't think they ever dared find out what "a ticket" was.

I believed when I was little that anyone with a cell phone was a drug dealer

When i was about 10 i saw on the bench a syringe (with no needle) that my mum had been using to squirt medicine into my baby sisters mouth, we had recently had a drug talk at school so i thought my mum was a drug addict...i seriously panicked.

I was in kindergarten when the "Don't Use Drugs" campaign was a national craze in public schools. In one of our weekly "drug education" sessions, my teacher told us something about a drug called "ice" that could kill you if you took it. I don't know why my rural elementary school felt the need to educate five-year-olds about the various names of street drugs, but from then on I thought that consuming frozen water would kill me. I think I had gone through half of the school year before my mom figured out why I was afraid of ice cubes.

When I was very young, under 5 I would assume, there was something on the news about a serial killer.Well,I turned and asked my mother,"Mom,How do you kill cereal?"

i used to believe that during the night, burgulars would come and try to kidnap me. so to protect myself, i would stick my leg b/w the wall and my bed and tie my opposite arm to the bed. i thought that by doing this, the kidnappers would have to take a long time to free my and i would have time to scream for help!!! lol

a serial killer is someone who kills you while wearing a cereal box on his head. There are cut out eye holes on the box but rarely ever a mouth hole.

When stores have a grand opening and put those huge spotlights out front and light up the sky with them - I used to think that this was how the police would look for & catch criminals that had gotten away by plane or helicopter. Somehow I did not find out that this was a promotional thing until.....adulthood. (Maybe there was something like this on Batman?)

when I was little my mom told us never to have the radio and the TV on at the same time. I thought it was illegal to have both on. So when my little sister turned them both on at once I freaked out, I thought she was going to go to jail.

My local branch library had the children's section on one side of the building and the adult section on the other side. I was always afraid to step over to the adult side because I was sure the police would show up and take me to jail for being underage.

In the US, pillows and mattresses have a tag on them that says :

UNDER PENALTY OF LAW THIS TAG IS NOT TO BE REMOVED EXCEPT BY THE CONSUMER.

I used to belive that it was illegal to ever remove the tag from mattresses and pillows. I thought that even if you bought it you still couldn't remove the tag or you would go to jail. ( I didn't now what a consumer was then)

Once the tag came off my pillow. I ran crying to my mom, terrified that I was going to be arrested. She calmed me down and explained that the tag only had to be left on when the pillow/mattress was being sold at the store.

when i was very little i saw the drug ad with the eggs, i was then sure that every time i had eaten fried eggs i had been taking drugs,as you could imagine i thought i was going to die

When i was very little i thought "to sue" meant "to murder" I thought if someone stole from someone else, the victim could say " i sue you!" and they would be killed.
