Since there were black and white movies in the past, I believed the whole world used to be in black and white.
I recently visited madame tusauds in amsterdam and noticed that it hasn't really been that long since einstein died, i found this extremely hard to believe as i always thought he had lived in the 17th/18th century, it wasn't til i thought about it logically i realised that it makes alot more sense he was around in the 20th century!!!
I used to believe that before color television the real world was in black and white.
I used to believe that War was a physical place our soldiers went to fight -- a town consisting solely of a field with hills and trees. So, if someone "went to War," they fought the battle there and returned to their home town when it was over. Little did I know the reality. God bless our men and women defending our country. I am proud of each and every one of them.
When I was little and would look at the old black and white photos of my parents and grandparents, I used to believe that the world was all black and white until I was born.
I was just three when the war ended and I used to lay in bed, under the blankets, and listen to these big bees flying over.
It was years before I realised I had been hearing doodlebugs.

From when I was five until I was about seven, I thought humans had evolved from bears, not apes.
Whenever i heard the beatles song war is over i always got really confused as i thought they were singing about one of the world wars but i knew they couldn't be old enough to be singing (or even born)just after both had ended. I decided they must be singing about world war 2 and carried this in my head till i was thirteen and i was embarisinglly corrected by my mother
When I was young and use to hear on the news about the guerrillas shooting people in the street I would think how did they escape from the zoo and where did they get the guns.
When I was young and I would watch an old black and white TV show, I thought that it was in black and white because back then the world was only black and white. I didn't know that it had anything to do with the film.
I used to think that war was like a sporting event, in which two opposing armies would line up on opposite sides of a football field then run at each other and try to kill each other...and "war" never extended beyond that field.
When I was in second grade, I learned about the Underground Railroad. I knew that "underground" meant secret, but the phrase still conjured up images of black women holding up lanterns, leading escaped slaves through these dirt tunnels under the ground. (That was probably because all the pictures I had seen of Harriet Tubman showed her leading people through the dark with a lantern.) Even today, I have trouble shaking the association from my mind...
i always think that in the past things were in black and white since i have only seen footage from there in B&W

When I was little I used to think the world was only black and white because all the pictures I saw were black and white
Wen I was 6 or 7 we watched a film on Maducer, an ancient Greek god who turned people to stone. Imagine my horror when I visited my Aunt in London and saw lots of statues! I was so scared that Maducer was still hanging around!
when i was little, my dad and me always used to watch the 3 stogges, and all the oldie shows. well i always thought that in the old days, people and things were black and white, just like the shows! when i asked my parents, they all got a good laugh out that!
When I was younger I used to think that the world had just recently been in color, i thought before everything was black and white. I even asked my social teacher a while ago, "What Year did the world, get colorfied?"

When I was young, I'd heard of the French Foreign Legion, I assumed that the British Legion was the same thing.
