The world was black and white before colour photographs and colour TV

When I was younger I used to think that the world was in black and white and wondered how Grandpa and Grandma felt when colour was introduced...

I used to believe in the olden days there was no color in the world, only black and white. I believed this because I saw old pictures that were only in black and white and also because old t.v. shows were only in black and white. I concluded during those time frames, color did not exist in the world.

i was born in the 80's and was around my grandparents alot. we used to watch alot of black and white TV, so i thought the world at one point was black and white. and through some mystical power turned into color one day. i believed this till i was about 5 or 6.

When I was a little kid I saw a black and white show, and I asked my mom why there was no color. She said "Because they didn't have color back in those days." I assumed that she meant that everything right down to trees and grass was a shade of gray! I belevied this for probably over a year then I got that issue cleared up :)

I used to believe that color was a recent invention. When I saw old news films, they were always in black and white. Since news films from my day accurately showed the colors as they appeared I thought old news films captured things exactly as they appeared then.
