I used to believe that up until the 1960's the whole world was in black and white and that color was invented in the 60's. This was due to all the black and white photos my parents had of their lives growing up. They didn't help me by saying how amazing it was when color was invented!

I used to think that everything in 'the olden days' was black and white. Curse those old Hollywood films. Harold Lloyd has a lot to answer films.

when i was younger my mum told me that everything was black and white in 'her' day. I thought she meant that EVERYTHING was black and white (not just on TV!) and that colour was a new thing.

I used to believe that the world and everything in it used to be black and white. This is because all the old movies and TV were black and white.

I used to believe that the real world was black and white. The world and movies turned to color after someone invented color.

When I was a kid, about 3 or 4 in the early 1970's, I asked my mom when things turned colorful as I thought in the "olden times" everything was black and white just like the black & white shows I watched on TV. Talk about Pleasantville!!!

When I was about 4, my family and I were watching an old black and white movie, and I asked my grandma if the whole world was black and white back then or just on T.V. LoL

I used to belive that Black and White pictures were really in color, it was the world that was Black and White. Same went for Black and White movies as well. It took my Dad years to convince me I was wrong.

When I was young, I thought that the world really used to be in black and white, just like in the old TV shows and the black and white pictures in my grandmother's photo albums. I was very glad that I hadn't been born until after the world turned to color. At some point, I asked my mother when exactly the world had become color; I knew that she had been born before a lot of those black and white TV shows were on the air, and she is in a lot of those black and white pictures, so I assumed she must remember what it was like to be black and white and that she would know exactly when the change happened. That was when I learned about film. The bizarre thing is that we had a small black and white TV, and I could see perfectly well that shows that were in color on the big TV were in black and white on the small TV. I don't know why I never put 2 and 2 together.

that people did not wear colored clothing until recently(60s). I grew up on black and white tv and thought that colors were not in fashion in the old days.

When I was little I believed that when my parents were young, the world was black and white. I believed it until I asked my mom when color came in and what she thought of it. She just looked at me funny and asked me what I meant. She laughed when I told her. :-)

I used to watch old films with my mum when I was young and I grew up thinking that everything in the world was black and white when she was a child and that living in colour was a new invention.

through watching too much tv. I was convinced that the world had no colour until they invented the colour tv. A world in black and white. It disturbed me to find out the truth.
