In the city where my grandmother lives, there is a tall building near the highway. Everytime we drove passed by it I thought it was the state of Texas (where my Aunt lived at the time) because it was called Donahue and my aunt went the Phil Donahue show, which was located in Texas. Wild, huh?

My dad was a journalist, and so we used to listen to the news on CBC Radio all the time. I was born in New Brunswick and lived there till I was 5. From listening to the news, I somehow gathered that Moncton and Moscow were the same city.

I used to believe that the world was just infinite in all directions. I didn't understand the concepts of space and planets. I just thought that there was infinite "world" in all directions and that new land and ocean were always being discovered. The times when I believed that were wonderful and the world was still a mystery. Now that I know I feel that the world is no longer a mystery and am kind of depressed about it. Ignorance Is Bliss!

I used to think Canberra was in Queensland, somewhere near where Mt Isa is. I don't know why I thought this, to this day I can't for the life of me remember what made me think this, I grew up in Hobart (enough said, lol)...it wasn't until I was back to Sydney in Year 7 that I found out where Canberra really is.

Until 8 years old I thought that different countries that we visited during long evening airline flights were actually different planets. This explained why certain places were much hotter/colder than others (tropical Asia were Mercury or Venus closer to the Sun, while Northern Europe was Saturn.)
