I have no idea why, but until I was five or so, I thought that there were two Hollywoods, one in Miami and the other in San Francisco. I thought you could only shoot movies in those two cities. I don't know where I got this, but I know I liked to read maps, that may be where I got this.

It was only when I was fianally old enough to stay up and see the ball drop, and i sw that they were lowering it slowly, and then when it got to the bottom, no tootsie rolls came out, i started crying.

When I was in elementary school I thought maps were like real-time images of the world (like google earth only in real time). So when we were learning about war in a country looking at a map, I thought that if a bomb went off in that country, we would see an explosion image on the map!
