when i was younger i used to believe that since there was the countries hungary and turkey that there was one called spoon, and i found it on the globe once and i always wondered why i could never find it again

i was lead to believe that i used to live in texas. When my babysiter told me that i used to live there i was shocked. then i started talking to my mom about it. she told me that we had never even been there let alone lived there! i was so embarrased even tho i was about 6 or 7. :-!

I remember asking my mom once," Mom,is the statue of Liberty upside down?". She looked at me with loving incredulity. as only a mother can, and said," No, why would you ask that?",to which I answered.." Well,I always hear people saying that they went up to the feet."

She explained that the statue stands on a base,and when people speak of going up to the feet,they mean from the ground to the top of the base.

I have no idea why, but until I was five or so, I thought that there were two Hollywoods, one in Miami and the other in San Francisco. I thought you could only shoot movies in those two cities. I don't know where I got this, but I know I liked to read maps, that may be where I got this.

I used to want to go to Africa so bad, so and every time I saw a nice row of trees, I used to thin Africa was right beyond the trees.

When I was little I used to believe when i went on road trips that the world was being built as i went along and that it would disapear as i would leave that area

I used to believe that Martha's Vineyard was where Martha Stuart lived and filmed her TV show. I imagined that it was full of gardens for her to make her food with.

I used to think a yeoman meant Yemen and Oman.

When I was about 6 I used to believe that, when the berlin wall came down, that there was a wall seperating west virginia from (east) virginia because they had been in a civil war.

When I was 9 I believed the Des Moines was said "Dez Moanez".

I used to believe that the country was still full of wild Indians and Cowboys in my state ok. and in tx.

if anyone has seen the movie "dumb and dumber" they say that aspen is in california. well i saw the movie when i was like 7 so from then on i thought aspen was in california instead of colorado

I used to think Miami was a state. I found out last week and I'm 15

When I was around 6 or 7 years old, I used to believe that if I dug straight down through the earth in my sandbox that I would reach China. Well I eventually learned that, that is not true :)

When I was younger, I used to believe that America was the only country that existed besides my own (India), and that it was called "foreign"!!
