I once had a toilet that ALWAYS flooded, so my family got a new one. I always thought it'd still flood, so I'd NEVER flush.

I used to think that a "Freddy" hand would come out of the toilet and kill me. It made going to the restroom a tedious task of getting just close enough but not to close.

When i was younger there was an advert on TV when someone talked on the phone on an aeroplane toilet and then got sucked out into the air. Because of this and my older sister, i was terrified of going to the toilet on planes. i thought that if i did it would suck me out and kill me. I didn't stop to think that i'd been on planes before and nothing had happened!
On the rare occasion we went on a plane, i just rushed to the toilet the minute we got off. The worst time this happened was on a 7 hour flight.

when I was about 6 I saw the movie Steven King's It. So after I saw that movie i was scared to death. So, I would always inspect the shower, sink, toilet and any other place before I peed. When I was peeingi would always stand and watch (even tho im a girl)

I'm not sure where they originated, but when I was little I had a couple fears of the toilet. The first one I think came from partially noticing something playing on tv, but I thought the toilet would wait until I sat down and then suck me in and eat me, with the lid kind of making a mouth.

Another time I was convinced that there was a snake living down the toilet drain that would pop out once I was seated and couldn't see it. Sometimes the snake blended in with the hungry toilet idea and became a kind of tongue.

... Needless to say, I made a habit of going up to my mom and casually asking if she'd used the toilet each day, to make sure it wasn't in a hungry mood and that the snake wasn't around.

I used to believe that if you flushed the toilet, a monster would come up and eat me.
I got in trouble countless times for "forgetting" to flush.
Or I'd stand as far away from the toilet as I could before flushing, and if I made it onto my bed in time, my life would be spared.

When i being potty-trained, my parents told me that if i missed the toilet, a snake would pop up and bite my weiner off. I believed it for about a year till i finally missed the toilet. I was horrified for a few minutes.

When i was around 6 years old i believed that there was a restruant that served grinch people underneath my toilet. There was always a family with a spoiled little kid sitting down at a table right underneath my toilets pipes. They used to wait for "food" to plop out of the toilet and they'd fill up their cups with "drink".Sometimes if i was having trouble poo-ing i thought the little bratty kid would get impatient and stick his hand up the pipes! Naturally I learned to give them fast service.

When I was very young, I thought that the little red sensors in automatic toilets were cameras taking pictures of people's behinds.

I convinced my brother that when I flushed the toilet all the contents of the toilet would come up into the tub if he didn't hold down the plug....he believed me too!

At my day care, we had one bathroom with three toilets in it. There were no stalls or anything, just three toilets right next to each other. Well, my best friend was a dude and so when I saw him peeing standing up I asked him why I couldn't do that too. He told me to try it and I did. Afterwards, when I had to explain to my teacher why my pants were wet, I told her it was because god was sexist and didn't let boys and girls pee the same way.

I had an older brother who watched MTV all the time when I was growing up in the early 80's. I saw a video with an alligator coming out of the toliet and it terrified me. I would use the potty and then run out as soon as I was done so the alligator wouldn't bite my booty.

I don't know why. But I always ran away screaming after the toilet flushed.

I used to believe…

When I first pooped in the working toilet, like not the little trainer ones. I flushed it and started crying, because I thought I accidentally pooped out all my internal organs and now they would be gone forever. I thought I would die the next time I had to poop or got hungry.

I used to believe…

in school some of the girls never went to the bathroom at school.(i learned later they had like a fear of public toliets or something.) back then i thought they done something to make the toilets mad and if they went in that the toilets would eat them. kinda like a toilet mob.

I used to think that boy's lifted the toilet seat to pee because their asses were too big.

I used to believe…

My older brother told when that babies were created when people took a dump in the toilet. so until i was 7 i always looked in the toilet to see if there was a baby there!

I used to believe…

When I was the toilet I used to shake my head sometimes, because there was a ghost who counted the hair, If the ghost finished counting, the person in the toilet would die. So whenever I remember the story I shook my head badly.
