When I was about ten I was afraid to use the
tiolets at school because I thought that there was
a bomb on the tiolet seat and that the bomb would go off if I sat on the tiolet. so I would have to hold in my pee all day at school.

When I was a kid, I used to believe that there was a snake that lived in the toilet that would control when you had to use the bathroom. I assumed that if given the chance the snake would bite you and make you need to go to the bathroom in the most inoportune places. For example: on a highway with no rest stops. Therefore, I would spend as little time on the toilet as necesary.

when i was in preschool i had no problem using toilets until one day i used one and it was clogged up. i screamed b/c i never saw that before and my teacher came in and picked me up. i told her the water woudnt go down and i was crying and she said it wasnt anything to be afraid of. then she kept flushing it and flushing it and it traumatized me for life lol. since that day, i would never use public bathrooms all the way up to age 15 for fear that they would overflow on me. After age 15 id use public restrooms, but only regular ones that dont have the automatic flush on them... to this day! if i absolutly have to use one, then i go into the large handicapt one where i can jump to the side when it flushes automatically! lol Dont want to be stuck in a bathroom and have nasty germy toilet water getting on me.. guess i never got over my fear completely

When I was a kid, I was scared to death of using public bathrooms. For some reason, I had it in my head that all public bathrooms were just huge, dark holes in the ground that everyone had to squat or stand around. Being an extremely shy child, this idea scared me to death. Surprise bowel movements on trips to the grocery store with my mother often ended in her forcing me to use the restroom at the supermarket while I bawled crying, terrified of pooping in front of a group of people.

When I was little I used to believe that when you flushed the toilet (ONLY THE ONE AT MY COUSINS HOUSE) this vampire-like monster would come up out of it and attack you... if you're not out of the bathroom by the time its done. So I would always hurry up and use the toilet, wash my hands, and THEN flush. One time my cousin caught me running out of the bathroom and she asked me what I was doing, and I told her that if I didn't, then the vampire-thing would eat me. She said she'd always believed the same thing. From then on, I knew I wasn't crazy, or alone in my fear of U-bend dwelling vampire-like creatures.
Then I realized that SHE was also crazy and that we both needed to grow up. (We were both only like 7.)

When I was around 6 years old watched the halloween special of this show. In the show a puppet jumps out of the toilet and lazers a guy to death... ever since then, I flushed the toilet 2-3 times just to make sure he didn't come back up.
I was little, I used to think there was a toilet monster in my toilet, and if he didn't like what went down the toilet he would come and eat me. Whenever I would go to the bathroom I would be scared the toilet monster would kill me, so I would always appolagize to " him" out loud, and it seemed to work because he never ate me. One day my mom heard me appologizing to him, and she told me there was no toilet monster... I just wish she would have told me sooner.o think

When I was little I used ot believe there was a toilet monster that lived in my toilet, because I would always hear wierd noises while I went to the bathroom, and if he didn't like what you put down the toilet he would come up nd eat you, so whenever I went to the bathroom I would appologize to him out loud and my parents finally heard me and told me there wasn't a toilet monster. I was mad that they didn't tell me sooner.
I remember when I was very young my parents watched growing pains on TV. In one particular episode one of the children made a home movie about the alligator in the sewer myth where the alligators would come up through the toilets and eat people while they were going to the bathroom.
For a long time afterward I was afraid of the alligators that would come up through the toilets to try and eat me.
I used to believe that after I flushed the toilet it would go underground into these tubes underground where scientists would study it. I was so freaked out by these poop studying people I stopped flushing the toilet when I was 5. Luckily, I'm over that now.

When I was young, I used to believe that all public toilets were dangerous because a detached mummy's hand would rise and pull me down the bowl, thanks to my nose-digging yet ironically germophobic aunt. Surprisingly enough, most of the time, the worry was not about dying in the toilet bowl, it was about getting grabbed by the bare butt and then getting poo and pee all myself as I died.
I'm fifteen now, and I still freak out when I have to enter an excessively dark public toilet.

i used to be scared of overflowing the toilet and using the plunger.

When I was about 4, I was afraid of toilets in public restrooms; the kind that work on water pressure instead of gravity, since they are so much louder. I associated them with showers, which were also scary. I had this idea that if you flushed one of those monsters, a giant collander would slide up over the bowl and turn it into a shower. You would not want to be in the room when that happened!
Later, when I was 10, my shrink asked me about my childhood fears, and I told him about the toilet fear. He made up a weird theory, which he insisted was fact. Once, he said, I had seen my mother naked, and noticed she didn't have a penis. Logically, this must have been because she accidentally flushed it down a toilet. Hence, my fear of toilets. (I rolled my eyes so hard I nearly sprained them.)

When I was little I thought when i flushed the toilet if i didn't put the lid down before the water came back up the toilet would eat me, I also thought the toilet could talk.

When I was 3 I accidentally saw a part of "Little Shop of Horrors" it was the part where the plant ate this guy (dont really remember) I used to thing that a plant would come up out of the toilet and eat me.

When I was very small, I always wondered where the poop and the pee would go after you flushed it. My belief was that the feses or urine would just flow through pipes and come out of the rain gutters somewhere. The way I pictured it was that some homeless guy and his bloodhound were sitting on the sidewalk next to a rainpipe and whenever I flushed the toilet, it would come out next to the homeless guy and the bloodhound would just lick it up! |-P

When I was about 4 my friend told me that if you didn't cover up your poo with toilet roll, it would all fly out again. Then my mum saw me filling the toilet with toilet roll, and told me it would blow up if I put too much in.
