I used to believe that the toilet had "tides" and when it was on "low tide" you could go down the toilet and you would go into the sewers. To add to this i would only use toilets at 'safe' times, to avoid having to live in the sewers!

I used to believe…
When I was younger and watched Look Who's Talking 2 and saw that the toliet came alive I was scared for years after that. I honestly believed if I someone made the toliet mad it would bite my tushy off! My Grandfather also told me if I didn't go potty in time a snake would come up and bite my butt so I always looked between my legs to make sure nothing came up to get me. Embarassing.

i thought that if u turned on the faucet while the toilet was flushing, you'd get the
"dirty"water
i still kinda belive
i thought in the sewers there was a couple of guys, and a bunch of pipes, each labbeled with a families last name, and when 1 would fill up, they'd have to dump it in a landfill. never thought of how it gets there though.
im 13, and i still belive it, except now i think scientists are doing a study on the size of your poos, and if you need the plungr, u get an A+.

When i was about 6 or 7, my dad told me in Austrailia massive spiders lived under the toilet seat and would bite you when you sat down. I was afraid to go to the toilet for ages. Even though i don't live in Austrailia!! lol..
I used to believe…
When I was little I used to have lots of nightmares about toilets overflowing + flooding the world. For some reason I believed this could actually happen, + I decided that the best way to avoid it was to befriend each toilet I used.
I would introduce myself to public toilets, + try to use the same one if I went there again so it wouldn't think I'd gone off with someone else, 'cos that would make it really, really angry. + you don't want to upset someone with the power to flood the world, do you?

When I was younger I used to believe that when you sit on the toilet a shark would sometimes come up and bite your butt.
I used to believe that, when I was like 5, I saw the toilet seat up as I was about to take a dump and I ran screaming to mom, " MOMMY TREVOR (my Brother) GOT SUCKED UP INSIDE THE TOILET!!!"
As I saw water all over the floor from what I called an Explosion. I was bursting in tears until my Mother said, " Honey, he's in the garage, come look." She took me to the garage and I saw him there and boy, did I make a fool out of myself.
I also believed that if you went potty when the toilet seat was up you would fall inside and meet dead fish throwing a party.
Im 25 and I always get laughs thinking of that day
I used to believe…
Automatic toilets used to scare the crap out of me! Whever i knew the toilet i was using was automatic, I'd either refuse to use it or jump far away from it when i was done. i was convinced it was trying to swallow me and it would if i remained on the toilet.
I always lived at the ground floor & the washroom window was a bit low than usual, I used to beleive that a long nailed baggar will grab me from it ask for alms. I was so terrified that I never went to the loo in the night & rarely when I became unbearable I pissed my bed & roll an empty glass by my bed side to make it seem that I had a water spill.
witty aint I.

I used to think that if I flushed the toilet several times in a row, I could make it overflow.
I used to be absolutely terrified of toilets. My room when I was little had a built in bathroom with no door. Then, one day, I saw a news report about how a python came up through a lady's toilet and strangled her son to death. I would ALWAYS make sure the toilet was closed and often cried if the lid was open...
I used to believe…
When I was seven my sister convinced me that there were trolls in the sewer, and that when you went to use the bathroom they would come up and go inside you7 eat all your organs out.And that they would come out the shower and take over your body and kill all the people that were black.
I used to believe that the toilet was a beacon for aliens or monsters or something, during the night. During the day it was okay, but when I had to get up in the middle of the night to go pee, it was flush-and-RUN!
I used to believe…
Once when I was little, I went to the washroom, and when I flushed, water came pouring out. I quickly ran to my mom and told her what happened. After that my dad and mom fixed everything up, however I was pretty scared to flush the toilet for a while, or I would flush and run away quickly.
I used to believe…
for some reason, when i was 3 or 4 i thought that if i didnt get out of the bathroom before the toilet filled back up with water it would explode. that also lead to the time i ran in on my cousin because he was taking too long...
I used to believe…
Monsters coming out of the toilet....
From the time I was 4 years old until I was about 15 years old I would dash for the door after flushing the toilet.
I was scarred for life after casually walking by the horror movie section and seeing the "Ghoulies" movie cover at a video store.
My trips to the batrhoom were NEVER the same. Talk about a stressful trip to the bathroom... and it's not like I could postpone going to the bathroom for a day or two.... noooo! I was the most regular kid around!
For a long time I never told anyone I was afraid, until one day my big sister asked " what's up with you and running out of the bathroom?" I reluctantly told her and to this day she remembers and laughs.
Now as a 27 year adult I can laugh at it, but still haven't watched the "Ghoulies" movie....
I used to believe…
when i was little, i hated going to pee during the night because i thought that if i didn't make it from the bathroom back into my bed before the toilet stopped making flushing noises, vampires would swoop into my house and take me away. needless to say, i rarely washed my hands.
