Up until i was around 6 i would watch inside the toilet while sitting on it because my sisters would tell me to hurry up and get out of the bathroom ( and i didnt listen to them) so they would tell me that when i set on the toilet a troll was going to come through it and pull me under..

WQhen I was younger, I would always get off the toilet before I flushed, because i was afraid that it would suck me down. After I flushed, I would run out of the bathroom, just to be safe.
***I used to believe that when you where going to the bathroom there was little tiny men and if you did a certain thing, like take a certain amount of toilet paper, then the little men would scare you or hurt you.

When I was little, I thought that there was a monster either in my toilet or near it that got angry when I flushed. I would stand as close to the door as possible and flush with my toes so I could run before the monster got me.

I used to and still think that a snake could come up the toliet and bite me!
I was always afraid of toilets, like every other kid was. I thought that the louder the flush, the more likely I'd get sucked down into the toilet. Automatic toilets are the worst. I'd take some paper and cover the sensor with my hand so it'd think I was still there when I got up. Airplane toilets were soooo loud and had that horrible flushing that I'd cover my ears every time.
Odd thing is, no one really instilled that fear into me. I'm sixteen and I still covered my ears three days ago when I had to use the toilet in the airplane. I absolutely refuse to go to the bathroom if the toilets are automatic. And if there's a bar next to me for the handicapped people, i grab onto it with one hand so tight that my hand turns white.

When I went to the bathroom in the middle of the night as a kid, I used to beleive if I flushed when the light wasn't on the toilet would over-flow and I'd drown!

After watching an episode of Goosebumps or something of the sort when I was younger, I was always afraid that a big bloody gross monster would come out of the drains or toilets and eat me.

after i watched the movie gremlins...i always thought that there was a gremlin living in the toilet and that if u were there too long it would come up and bite ure butt lol

For quite a few years after I was potty-trained, I used to belive that if you were sitting on the toilet when you flushed, it would suck you back in time. So when I watched movies about time machines, I was surprised that they never mentioned anything about a toilet.
I used to think that whenever I flushed the toilet, I had to run and jump up onto a couch or a chair because if I didn't, a monster would crawl out and follow my feet and attack me.

When I was smaller, I forced my mother to come up to the bathroom with me whenever I needed to go. This was because I was convinced there was a witch living down the toilet.

when i was little(about 5), i was petrified of the toilet. i was scared when i flushed it would grow teeth and eat me up. i would hold it all day to not have to go in the big scary toilet at my kindergarden. it got so bad that i peed myself once bcuz i couldnt help it. in my memory the teacher was pissed, but my mom says shes was fine....

Thanks to some movie, Ghoulies, I think it was. I believed that if you didn't get out of the bathroom before the toilet finished flushing that you would get sucked in. Or a monster would grab your rear if you didn't get off the toilet before it was done flushing.

my moms old fish died and she tried to flush it down the toilet but it was too big and its head was sticking out
i went to go to use the bathroom (i guess i had only been using hte toilet for a few months) and i saw that and for years i thought there were big snake things in the toilets and they would come and bit your butt when you were going to the bathroom
so untill i was about 7or 8 i would sit as far as possible to the edge of the toilet so that they couldnt bite my butt

When I was little, i used to think of the toilet as my "pet". When I'd go to the bathroom I thought I was doing him a favor by feeding him and giving him a drink!
I had the wierdest fear of flushing toilets in public bathrooms. There was no reason really.. but the noise scared me so I would flush and then try to run out by the sink where it was "safe" before the flushing noise gt really loud.
