I used to think that if you pooped too much, the entire toilet would be filled and you'd be sitting on a pile of poop. I never thought that people would actually flush if it got "too full" to them.

I used to believe…

When I was around 6, my Grandmother told us that snakes would come up from the toilet at her house. So, for years I would try to go as fast as I could and sometimes even try to look and make sure one did come up to get me! Still to this day when I am at her house, the thought will cross my mind and I don't know whether to laugh or "finish as fast as I can"!

When I was little I used to believe that if you didn't make it to the living room before the toilet finished flushing something would get me. I still run outta habit though...

I used to believe…

Ever since I watched the movie "IT" (The evil clown movie) I was scared to death of using the toilet! I would go as fast as possible because for some reason I thought that the clown would drag me into the toilet! I still rugh my self when I'm in the bathroom! Same thing when I'm taking a shower, I'm terrified of being dragged into the drain!

I used to believe…

My Grandson is afraid to flush the toilet because he thinks that his poop will come alive and turn into Mr. Poo from Southpark.

I am totally serious, he is 8 years old and refuses to flush.

I used to believe that when you flushed the toilet, you had to run out of the bathroom and touch the vase that was in the hallway. But it had to be done before the toilet finished flushing, or you would die in your sleep that night. I did this for years. I'm almost 30 now, and I still wait until the last second to flush the toilet so I can leave the room before it finishes.

I watched this X-Files episode in which this really scary white slimy worm-man crawled through the sewers and attacked people. I was ten at the time and for weeks afterwards wouldn't go to the bathroom unless my mom or dad stood by the door. To this day I get a little creeped out when I flush a toilet, especially if I'm alone or at a rest stop.

I remember watching an episode of The Simpsons when I was about 5. In it, a big grey building was demolished: it just blew up and fell into itself. I believed that flushing the tiolet would cause my house to do the same thing, so I would flush and sprint outside. Funny that I never warned my parents or sister, I just ran for my own life.

I used to believe that when you sit down in a porty potty there would be snakes that come and bite your butt. Now, when I use one (Rarely) I believe that someone will come and push it down. (Ever since I watched viva la bam and they pulled that stunt.)

I used to think that the toilet was an animal, and it waited for people to deposite their 'waste' down the drain to feed him. Everytime i went to the bathroom, i felt like i was feeding the toilet, like you would a pet.

I used to believe…

When I was little I used to believe that when I went to the bathroom there were monsters hiding in the shower so before I sat down on the toilet I had to open the shower curtains and make sure there was nothing hiding in there. I also believed if I sang while I was on the toilet it would keep the monsters happy and they wouldnt eat me.

I wouldn't flush the chain until I was about seven and this would really annoy my parents. But I couldn't tell them it was because the sound of the flush was the sign for the monsters who lived behind the water tank on the landing that I was alone upstairs and they could come out and grab me and I would have to live in the world that existed behind the airing cupboard.

I used to believe that when you sat on the toilet, there would be a knife that stabbed your butt if you put to much toiletpaper in it, and if they didn't have a knife, they'd use a shark to bite you, and if they didn't have that, they'd get a clown and it would grab you down the toilet.

I remember once when someone flushed the toilet and it overflowed. From then on, I had a fear of flushing toilets, so everyone would yell at me for not flushing the toilet and would make fun of me when I told them why. I flush the toilet now, but whenever someone forgets to, everyone blames me.....

I used to believe…

When I was young, I used to run out of the bathroom whenever I flushed the toilet. But I was only scared of the school toilets. I always ran out of the bathroom whenever I flushed. But once when I was running out of the bathroom, I ran into an older girl. She asked me if I was running from the vampire that lived in the toilet, and I screamed no and sprinted back to my classroom. After that I was afraid that an evil vampire lived in the school toilets. But I didnt want to have to run out of the bathrooms again, so I never went to the bathroom in school ever again. But I wouold have to run home from the bus stop because I had to go so badly. To this day, if I am in a school, I dont go to the bathroom in there.
