When I was younger, after I went to the bathroom I wouldn't wash my hands, because I thought after you flushed the toilet, it would wake up the monsters that lived under the toilet, and they would come out. So, after I flushed the toilet, I would run out of the bathroom. I must've had bad hygiene...

After seeing the movie Jaws, I used to think a shark might come out of the toliet while I was sitting on it and eat me. There was never a scene in the movie in which this happened, but the movie scared me and my imagination was wild!

When I was young, my family watched The Grinch around Christmas every year. I became really scared of the Grinch and was afraid to sit on the toilet (especially while it was being flushed) because I belived that the noise would wake him up and he'd eat me through the toilet.

When I was about 5, I had saw a episode of a show called Rescue 911. On the episode, there was a little boy who was going to use the toilet. The little boy went into the bathroom, lifted up the lid, and saw a snake in the toilet that had slithered out of the piping. I was kind of afraid of finding snakes in the toilet after that. One night after a award thing at school, I went to put my pair of hose I took off into the clothes hamper. I was in a hurry and accidently threw them into the toilet. Not noticing, I ran into the dinning room to eat dinner. Afterwards, I went back to the bathroom, lifted up the lid to the toilet, and saw the pair of hose inside. Thinking that it was a snake, I ran away screaming. After that, I always made sure to look in the toilet twice before I sat down on it...
I used to think that Jaffar form Aladin would come out of the toilet.

When I was 5 (almost 6), I used to think that if I got to close to a toilet when it was being flushed, i would go down the little hole where the water goes! (Same with the bathtub)

when i was around the age of 6 i thought there were miniature men in the toilet that would crawl up the drain and pinch me if i sat on the toilet to long without actually going. then when i got a little older i started to realize that there was no such thing as mini people, so then i thought that there were giant rats that would crawl up the drains and bite me!

when I was a kid, when I was sitting on a toilet I was always looking down in fear. I was sure that I'm in danger of jumping from it a rat and biting my ass.
I have a similar one to the girl who had a scary door at school. We did too, and one day (on a dare) i opened it and there were lots of pipes and gum. I was disappointed because we thought there were dead people in there too.

Up until about 2 years ago (I'm now 18) I always thought that urinal cakes were actually little doughnuts that were a favorite food of plumbers. I didn't know you stuck them in toilets!
I use to fear when I went on the toliet and I was on too long that a hand would come up. Then it would try to flush me down the toliet.
I used to have nightmares after I was first potty trained that there was a monster in the toilet that if I went in there at night and opened the seat, it would pop out and get me. So whenever I had to go to the bathroom during the night, I'd stand in the door of it and be too scared to move so I'd either wake my parents (which didn't go over well) or go back to bed and wet the bed.
