I used to believe…

When I was young, I used to think that the sign "TO LET" was for toilet but for some reason the 'I' was missing.

I used to believe…

When I saw "WC" on a public toilet, I had no idea what it meant. The only thing I could think of was that it had something to do with W. C. Fields, so I decided that he must have invented the toilet, or something.

I used to think if I sat on the toilet for too long a hairy hand would come out from the hole at the bottom and pull me under.

I was sure something unspeakably horrible could happen to me if I stayed in the bathroom while the toilet was flushing...like I would get sucked in or something.

I have no clue why, but when I was very little I used to believe that if the toilet stoped flushing before I got out of the bathroom that it would explode and kill me. Don't worry folks, I make sure to stop to wash my hands now ^_^

I used to believe that whenever I flushed the toilet, the Scrubber Bubbles from those cleaning comercials, would come up out of the toilet and scrub me (and the bathroom) if I didn't get out of the bathroom before the toilet stopped flushing. It scared me really bad. I would wash my hands in the kitchen or other bathroom.

I used to believe…

After seeing the Stephen King movie 'It', I would sometimes get spooked when going to the bathroom. I kept thinking that the clown with the jagged teeth was going to come up out of the toilet and do something awful to my private parts.

I used to believe…

when I was little my sister had a sleep-over party and they watched a really scary movie about spiders..I wasnt allowed downstairs but I sat on the stairs listening to sounds..and there was this one part that some woman was attacked by the spiders when she went to the toliet..ever since that night I was really scared..and ditnwant to go to the toilet anymore..
when I finally realised that it wasnt going to happen I thought that there were ghosts and people watching me when I went to the toilet..

I used to believe…

My daughter was about 3 when I put a blue toilet freshener in the back, thus causing blue water..Well she thought that it was ocean water and sharks lived in it.Therefore she peed on my kitchen floor several times. I can not tell you how many flushes it took to get the clear water back...Never used them again.

I used to believe that when my dad flushed a dead fish or turtle down the toilet, the water would bring it back to life and it could jump up and bite my behind when I was using the bathroom.

I used to believe…

When I was younger, my parents, sister and I went to the local diner, and when I went to the restroom, I came out and told my mom that there was a bathtub on the wall, little did I know at the time that it was actually a urinal.

I used to believe…

Our toilet had some bad pipes, and made a LOT of noise. My evil brother told me there was a monster at the bottom of the hole that could sense heat, so it would feel the warmth of your body and GET you, unless you were quick. I blame a lot of my constipation problems on my brother.

I saw a picture once of a very green python curled in a toilet bowl. I became convinced that snakes curl up in toilet bowls sometimes. To this day, I still can't sit on the toilet in the dark, just in case.

I used to believe…

After my sister and I watched Nightmare on Elm St. at the ages of 5 and 6, we were so afraid that Freddy Kruger would pull us through the toiled that one of us had to hold the other's hand while sitting down. That way, we could help pull each other off the toilet if the hand tried to reach up and grab us.

i thought that whenever you pulled the toilet flush in our bathroom ghosts would come out of the toilet. i used to wash my hands before pulling the flush, just so i could run out of the bathroom before they caught me. once i got so scared i jumped down the entire flight of stairs to escape them - and executed a perfect landing on my feet at the bottom, with no injuries. not bad for a five year old!

I used to believe…

We spent many summers in Japan when I was little. At the time my aunt's toilet was not modern. It was a separate room with a toilet and a hole that dropped about 10 feet down. There was someone who cleaned it out every week or so. She was called "the honeybucket lady" Needless to say I was terrified that I would fall into the hole, if not for being so small then from passing out from the smell. But I was really nervous that I would accidently pee or poo on the honeybucket lady (as though she would be standing in there!) I always checked first.

I used to believe that when i flushed the toilet, freddy kruger would come out and try to grab me. hence i would always flush the toilet and then race out of the bathroom at full tilt.

I heard a story about a snake getting into the plumbing of some house so every time I sat down I spread my legs and looked down the whole time so a snake wouldn't pop up and bite me!
