I used to believe that the arrows on road signs that point upward (meaning forward) were meant for the roads in the sky. I always wondered why my parents never took that road, I used to imagine that the road was probably invisible, I dont know what I was expecting to find up there, and Im still yet to find out how to get to them....lol

There used to be kids, wherever we drove, who would hide at the sides of the road and throw stones at me and the car I was in. I'd always peek out of the windows, looking for them, but I never caught a glimpse. They must be extremely good at hiding, I guessed.
Not until much later did I realise that the stones thrown by these evil kids were just the tyres throwing up gravel against the car.
I used to believe that cars could read your mind and knew whether you were going to turn left or right and thats how your indicators worked. I didnt realise they were controlled by the driver until I was about 11. Dense!!!!

Until I was around 22 (yes, I know) I could never understand the signs on motorways that said "Slow Lorries". I thought there must be a depot of lorries which couldn't travel very fast. It was only when I mentioned this to one of my friends that she laughed and pointed out these signs were always at the bottom of hills!
