When I was growing up, my friend's dad was always able to count down exactly when a red light would turn green. I never understood how he could tell the future, until one day I mentioned to my friend how cool her dad was and she told me he just watched the other lights, and when they turned yellow he'd start the count down.

When I was 7, our family was riding home from a trip. It was nighttime I was awake keeping my dad company and I noticed that the car lights would go dim and bright. I asked my dad how that happened. He told me that there was a button on the bottom of his left foot that he pressed down on the floorboard when he wanted to change the lights. The next night when mom and dad were watching TV in bed, I asked my dad to let me see his foot so I could find that button and had wondered when that button would grow on my left foot.
I used to believe that there were little monkeys living in the traffic lights that would change them on command.

I use to believe there were people inside the traffic lights changing them. Every time someone would ask me what I wanted to be when I grew up I'd tell them that I wanted to live in the Lights and make people crash....I received verrrry weird looks by it to. =)

When I was younger I heard my parents talking about our car and they said that the engine was doing backflips, and that it wouldn't turn over. For years I believed that the engine was actually doing Backflips and that it was supposed to turn over. I now know I was wrong(:

When I was 5 or 6 I used to believe there were itty bitty people living inside the stoplights that worked in front of a huge control panel (think what pilots look at while flying) that were in charge of changing the lights from green to yellow to red and vise versa. (I also thought they wore headsets to let each other know it was time to turn the light)

Up until I was about 10, in my mom's car as she was backing up out of our driveway, I never noticed she used the handle to put the car in reverse. I always thought the car knew what she was thinking, and she would think "go backwards" and the car would.

When I was about 4 I heard my mom make the comment, "well I guess that they ran out of blinker fluid". It wasn't until I got my driver's permit that I realized that there was no such thing as blinker fluid.
