When I was little, i thought that it was illegal to drive past the "Do Not Pass" signs on the highway and if you got caught, you would get a ticket. I would always look out the back window as we drove by to make sure we weren't getting pulled over.

When I was younger my older brother convinced me that underneath the screw covers on the door handle of my mom's car there was a button that would turn the car into a airplane. I had nightmares about the car turning into a plane and impaling the cars next to it.

I used to think that three little men worked inside traffic lights, and whenever the light needed to change, one of them would turn a colored flashlight on. I also thought the "red" one (stop) was mean, the "green" one (go) was nice, and the "yellow" one (slow) was just lazy.

It seemed like evreytime I was in a parking lot, there would be 2 cars of the same make and model parked next to eachother. I thought it was a law that you HAVE to park to a car the same as yours!

When I was about 5, I actually realized there were turn signals in cars. Some how, whenever my mom was going to turn, those lights would start to flash. I was 100% positive the car was reading her mind. I would even try to confuse the car by thinking of going in the oppisite direction.

Whenever I would be travelling with my parents, I would always see this road sign, "100 Maximum"...I used to think this place called Maximum must have been a really neat place since no matter where we were, it was only 100 kilometers away! :)

When I was younger, my parents always called the air conditioner simply "air" ('Turn on the air, turn off the air, etc.) Once we were driving and the air was on, and my mother said, "Don't roll down the window or the air will go right out the window?" Of course, she meant just the cold air, but I thought she meant the whole machine would be torn from the car and go flying out the window. I was always very careful to never open my window.
