When I was little my father told me that there was a little man in the traffic light box who controlled when the lights change. My father also told me that the cops would come by once a day and feed the men in the traffic light box.
When I was a kid my sister convinced me that traffic lights were operated by little green men who lived in the control box at the base of one of the traffic lights.
when i was little i belived that mice controlled the traffic lights
When I was little I always thought that the traffic lights were not going because of electricity, but because of little men living in them. The little men would see when no cars were coming and see how the other cars were waiting. So the little man who was in charge of the green light would tell the yellow one and the yellow one would tell the red one, and the red one would unstrew his lightbulb and the yellow one would screw in his yellow lightbulb and so forth.
But I'd always wondered how they got any sleep
When I was little I used to think that all traffic lights were controlled by little men living underground beneath them. I used to get upset and yell at them when they would give us a red light when we were late...
I used to believe that gnomes lived in stoplights. When they were having a bad day, the light would stay red for a long time. Whenever my mom ran a red light, i wouldn't be able to sleep for fear of the gnomes coming to get me!
I used to think that three little men worked inside traffic lights, and whenever the light needed to change, one of them would turn a colored flashlight on. I also thought the "red" one (stop) was mean, the "green" one (go) was nice, and the "yellow" one (slow) was just lazy.
When i was little, i used to believe that martians or tiny people lived in the street lights and turned the lights off and on according to how dark or light it was outside...
I believed at a very young age that there were little people in the street lights that changed the color of the lights
I used to believe that stop lights were run by tiny little men in yellow suits and construction hats, who crawled up into the base of the light into a big operating room at the top. It was YEARS before I was convinced otherwise.
I used to believe that little men were inside stop lights, making them work. How else would the lights know a car was waiting?
i used to believe that keebler elves controlled stoplights. red lights meant that they were leaving their post to get more cookies.
I used to think in stoplights little people were in there changing the lights. I thought that untill about 11 years old then I said to my mom " Wow that person must be small to fit into thst little light ". LOL my mom STILL makes fun of me!!
When I was little I use to think that the reason why stoplights changed colors were because there were little tiny men in the poles and they would run back and forth flipping switches from red to green so the people could go
When I was like 4 or 5 I used to think that there were tiny little people that sat inside traffic lights and controlled the traffic, so whenever we had a green light and just kept going I would turn around in my seat and thank them.
I used to believe that all traffic lights had elves inside of them controlling them. The elves would keep an eye on how many cars were stopped at a red light and then make the light green when it was their turn (and vice versa).
I used to believe that little elves lived inside the traffic light things, and that they were the reason the color of the light changed.
I used to belive that there was a god living in every traffic light, controlling the traffic!
I used to believe that the stop lights had little mice who ran up and down them to flip the light switches from Red to green, green to yellow, ect. Imagine how hard they had to work in school zones with flashing lights.
Some of my friends and neighbours and I were on vacation in New Jersey, and as we were walking down the road to the beach, my friend ever so kindly pointed out that there were midgets who lived in the posts holding the lights up.
I, being the gullible "Pokemon Master", believed her. She then went on to explain how the midgets changed the colour of the lights when there were a lot of people waiting. However, if the midget saw someone they disliked, they would make them wait for a very, VERY long time. And the midgets didn't only live in the poles holding up traffic lights, but the streetlights lining the road as well.
....It's quite pathetic that I believed that, really.
