I used to pick my nose and eat it on a daily basis as a kid. I don't know what I saw or heard, but when I was about four years old, I started believing that if you picked your nose for a certain amount of time, your nose would grow three feet overnight, and the problem with that was... you didn't know when it was going to happen! Needless to say, I not only stopped picking my nose, but I'd wake up frequently during the night to see if my nose had grown any longer.

I believed, because I was told by my big brother, that if you picked your nose and ate it, it would all coagulate (I don;t think I knew that word then) into a large ball in your body and you'd then die...

When i was about 5 and 6 i used to pick my nose and eat it(i know it sounds gross) And one day my mom caught me doing it and she said stop eating them bugs.i'm like bugs there boogies she said no there bugs that crawl up my nose and wrap into something green. Than i didn't do it know more.

when i was little I heard from one of my frinds that if you picked ur noze then a monster would eat your finger (that is why i stopped picking my noze) note: i also thought that the little "boogies" were the monsters snacks. but i (thankfully do NOT beleive that anymore!

When I was little I used to pick my nose and put my finger in my mouth and then repeat.(Sort of like eating a booger,but more like licking it) This was a bad habit for me,but I really wanted to stop becuase I used to think a huge booger ball was slowly forming in my stomach and that eventually it would kill me.

I never believed in this...but I started telling my kids this: Everytime you pick your nose, it slowly removes the glue that keeps your nose on your face. And eventually if you pick long enough your nose would start getting loose and fall off. Try it....wiggle your nose....see...its already loose..

When I was little, I would pick my nose and throw the boogers on the floor (I never ate them). Then I would have nightmares of shuffling through thick piles of boogers throughout the house like autumn leaves! I never could figure out why they're made, and I still pick them, but I usually throw them in the trash can.
