My parents told me there was a "Breadcrust man" He would collect all the uneaten breadcrusts (that i didnt eat) When he had enough he would come in my room at night and build a house around me, and i would have to eat my way out. So, it was eat them now, or eat them later.
My parents also both grew up with this fictional character, i thought everyone did, until i moved out of state. I thought the breadcrust man was on the same level as the Tooth Fairy.
