You know those blue and white service signs that say "H" for hospital? Well, for a short time my older sister worked at Helen Ellis Memorial Hospital, so I thought the "H" on the road signs stood for Helen Ellis Hospital, instead of just a regular hospital!
A childhood belief about road signs

others believed things like this
- When i was little i thought casualty was a big hospital in londonAnon
- Well into adulthood I thought that a local anesthetic meant one from the area near the hospital..— D'sparil
- when i was 4 i believed i could breathe under water, one day i decided to try it and woke up in the hospital!Anon
- Having seen enough red octagonal STOP signs in my time, I used to look out for green circular GO signs.— Gary
- I believed that I had a fake right big toe, having lost my real one in the plug holder (thanks Helen!)— Mike
- I used to see "End Road Work" signs, and thought they were a sort of protest.— Sebastian
