I used to think that inside a cigarette there are four or five filters in a row that are burnt when smoking. (The tobacco shelfs at shops had transparent bags of filters for roll-your-own cigarettes.) I used to think that people roll their own cigarettes so that they can adjust the lenght of the cigarette by choosing how many filters they use.
