A childhood belief about virginity

The only "virgin" I ever knew was the one from the Christmas carol Silent Night. I drew a picture for my mother around Christmas one year of a large round Swedish man with a feather in his hat and lederhosen. I wrote "Yon" on the top and gave it to my mom expecting her to immediately identify the Christmas overtones. I could she was confused so I said, "His name is Yon, he's a round virgin." She was even more confused until I said, "You know, from Silent Night?" Then she laughed and laughed.

Why I thought Silent Night was about a fat Swedish man name Yon, I really don't know.
