I was the last child my parents wanted, so when I was about 3 years old, my dad got "fixed." Because of that, he couldn't pick me up for a while. To explain why he couldn't pick me up, my parents told me he got a shot so they wouldn't have any more babies. I am now 20, and just the other day I was talking to my mom about my fiance getting the "shot" after we had 2 kids. She then laughed hysterically and explained that there was more to it than that.
