I used to believe that "the government" was a single person who made all the rules - and that person also worked as a school teacher. For a while, I wondered how a school teacher could be in charge of hospitals, the police, and all public schools. Then one day, I was told "the government" was on TV, so I excitedly looked - but instead of one person, I saw a crowd of people. That was when I was finally told: the crowd was "the government".
