I used to think that there were different sizes of commercial planes- very very big ones, medium sized ones, and very small ones. I could never figure out who could actually fit in the medium and small ones and why I never saw the very very big ones actually flying. It was a distance perspective thing that I didn't understand, the small ones were flying very high and the very very big ones were on the ground at the airport.

I used to believe that helicopters were the fastest type of transportation, simply because they crossed the sky the fastest.

I used to think that the little blinking lights on airplanes were guns and they were shooting at each other.

I used to believe that all planes were really just wind up toys that were thrown from place to place, and that all the passengers went through a tunnel to get shrunk to fit inside and were always just wound up and thrown like a toy to their destination.

I used to believe that on military planes that have shark mouths painted on the nose I showed an aggressive look in which I was scared to see it.

When I was little I used to belive that aeroplanes was moving really slow and that they could easily plumit to the ground because sometimes it came smoke out of the back of the plane. "I my mind planes are very fragile."

When I was 5-6 years old, I used to think that airplanes were some kind of ''big shiny bird'' that flew way up higher than any other little bird that I saw and when I was told that people flew in them...I tried to picture people inside these things..thinking that okay?.. how'd they get in there? Did the plane eat them? I watched the plane until it flew out of my sight and ''secretly'' wished that the people could somehow escape and be able to go be with their families.Or else I'd have to tell my mommy and that airplane would get told to go to it's room!!! (LOL)

When I was little, I believed that airplanes that had a trail of clouds behind them were actually space ships on their way up into space.

I believed that airplanes went to warp speed when over clouds as the 3 times I was on an airplane it was cloudy and pink, they might be some kind of anomoly. I thought I was going to another plane of the earth, because we left our ground, over clouds, and came in at a different ground. What further reinforced this belief is that we always go on an airplane when the destination is really far away, and geologist were talking about "plates" and "fissures" and showed a map of them, I thought they pieced it together to show what it was like before they broke off.

I thought until I was *deleted* years old that airplanes took off by means of a jump at the end of the runway.

One of the first times I flew on an aeroplane (when I was a toddler)... After seeing the safety video, introducing the safety procedures during a crash or whatever, I believed that you had to sit in the brace position for the entire flight! About an hour in my mum and dad told me that it was only if the aeroplane crashed... duh.
