I wondered why in church we had to sing "how great thou aren't" and I would (luckily)would clam up when ever that line came up.
A childhood belief about hymns

others believed things like this
- I used to think that church songs were pop music. Well, we did sing them in church every week...— Roxy
- When I was in kindergarten, I thought the last line of "America" was "Great God our kid." — CC
- My fiance was in church as a kid and he saw the Vicar of the church and asked his Mum if it was God.— Andys fiancee
- I used to believe that eg 1+1=11 and 2+2=22.
Luckily that only lasted until age 2 1/2.— Madi - Did anyone else sing "Hark, the hairy angels sing"?— Jill
- My mum said that when I used to sing "noahs arc" at school I would sing "who built the arc, no one, no one"— Clare
