when I was about 5 there was this commercial for Circuit City and a big plug always plugged into the top of the building. I used to think it really did that and I wanted to go by Circuit City all the time to see the giant plug.
Its only been 8 years since I believed that.
A childhood belief about adverts
others believed things like this
- If you left a plug socket on with no plug in all the power would run outAnon
- I believed that I had a fake right big toe, having lost my real one in the plug holder (thanks Helen!)— Mike
- My dad use to tell me that if I swallowed gum it would plug up my bum hole and eventually I would explode,— Carrie
- when i was around 3 or 4 i belived that the sea had a large plug like a bath and it was draind every night — James Cameron
- I used to believe that once you pulled the plug in the bath a shark would swim out of the drain and eat you.— Amy
- I used to think that the river police were there to stop naughty people from pulling the plug out.— Linda
