I was an inquisitive child. Whenever there was something my parents couldn't explain there way out of they'd say "It's in the rule book." When I asked to see the rule books they'd insist only parents can see the rule book, and everyone gets it when they have a child so they know all the parenting rules.
They kept this up until I was about 8 or 9!
