When I was little and used to try to explain things I was thinking to my dad, he used to tell me to "be more specific". I thought he was saying "be more Pacific" so I thought that people who lived over the ocean must be really good at explaining stuff.
A childhood belief about speaking

others believed things like this
- I believed God lived in a specific crack in one of the walls of my church — Blake
- I used to believe that if someone lived "overseas", it just meant that they lived by the ocean.Anon
- I used to think that the song "My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean" was really "My Body Lies Over the Ocean."Anon
- I remember being scared of the ocean for a while as a little kid. I thought lobsters would pinch my toes.— Flipper
- My younger sibling thought that Brittany was the name of the country where British people livedAnon
- On this site when people sign "Anon" I thought Anon was one person who believed in a lot of weird things...— Slow to catch on.
