One time i saw a plane crossing the sky at night. it had five lights, four in a square an one in the middle. i thought it was a UFO!

I was told when I younger that we were going on holiday to Ayre.
We would be going on a plane.
(I'd never been on one before)

I got really scared and confused, I thought we needed to go on a plane because it was in the "Air"
I thought the plane would go up and land on a cloud and we'd all get out. The holiday never went ahead and I believed that Aire was a place in the sky for years, and I was glad we didn't have to go in the end.

"How do you get on a plane?" and I simply replied "Jump up" Thats how I really thought you would get on a plane

I used to believe that the "jet stream" that they spoke about on the weather was created by jets. I would see a jet fly overhead, but the weather didn't show it anywhere near my state. What a gyp!

when I was younger I used to believe that New York was on a cloud because you had to get on an airplane to get their.
I mean why else would you need to get on an airplane unless it was up in the air

i used to think that aircraft carriers were a type of helicopter. when told that we were going to go on an aircraft carrier i was very dissapointed when i discovered that it was just a ship.

I used to think that planes would turn into little chairs that flew around, only holding one person at a time, but when I got on a plane for the first time, I was so scared that all of those people would be forced onto a little chair!

I used to believe the U.S.A. was literally over Mexico above our heads since everytime we flew up to visit Grandma the plane would fly into the sky and then we'd arrive in the USA. I guess looking at maps didn't help much either since that's the way it looks on there too.

when I was younger my mum told me that when you're on a plane the shutters have to be open during take off otherwise terrorists could target the plane, I have since developed a fear of flying and she wonders why!

eveery once in a while on a plane, i could swich seats with my sister. I thought that the reason i could saftly do this was that the plane had stopped in midair and was hovoring!

Then i was told that if a plane stopped 9n midair it wold fall out of the sky

it seemed resonable!

I used to believe that by just shutting the door to the airplane bathroom would cause the "occupied" sign to come on. I didn't realize you had to lock the door first.
