When I was a kid I used to believe that earthquakes were caused by stranger forces like aliens' satellites :v
I used to think a female daddy-long-legs was called a "mummy-long-legs".
I saw a spider on the floor and thought it was a baby tarantula. We don't even get tarantulas where I live.
When I was 7 years old, I used to collect slugs and snails in my grandparent's garden with my cousin (she's older than me), I don't know why, but we wanted to do a farming . We used to turn over rocks and take slugs and snails and classify them in different containers .
But one day, a slug stuck in my face but i've didn't see it. When my cousin noticed him, she yelled and hit me hard and swatted the slug on my cheek.
Now it's over, I promise to never touch slugs and snails again, because I'm afraid : maybe they will stuck everywhere !!
One day in the front yard when I pointed to the shell of a garden snail and asked my mom what it was, she said it was the snail's house. I imagined that when the snail retreated into his house he had all sorts of tiny furniture inside. I pictured the snail lounging on a couch, watching TV, and there was a little kitchen, and also a bedroom. The logistics of this made complete sense to me, because I believed that when the snail went inside his house he got smaller in the same way as when I saw the character Jeannie shrink down in size when she went into her bottle on the "I Dream of Jeannie" TV show. During the scenes where Jeannie was shown sitting on her pillows inside her bottle, you could see the groovy-looking interior walls of the bottle, and I imagined that same appearance for the interior walls of the snail's house.
When I was a kid I thought praying mantises were made out of grass
When I was young, I had a fear of spiders, and one day I dreamed of a spider walking on my hand. I was so scared that I fell out of my bed!
When I was young I didn’t use to look out the window of my room because I thought there was an animal outside. I thought this because it was something that had occurred to my father so that I would not open the window.
When i was a kid, i thought that nematodes would eat our house like in one episode of SpongeBob
I used to believe that ants had the smallest nipples in the world
When I was a little gril I used to believe that spiders were by myside. I have always been a woman very afraid of insects especially of spiders and this fear was born since I was a very small girl since everywhere I went I always found myself with a spider, no matter what I did, I could never I got rid of them, when I went to sleep, when I went to eat, even when I went to take a shower, I do not know if they were really there or if it was just my belief that I was there.
when I was a kid I thought that there was a monster in my swimmnigpoll
I used to believe that lizards were little dinosaurs ready to enlarge of they touched the water
This summer I was fine and was having fun until one night while I'm playing on my phone my teddy bear moved from by my side to hiding in a little corner of my bed. That freaked me out so I placed both of my teddy bears in one spot and leave the room. When I came back to go to sleep I see they both have moved. Today the smaller one moved twice. Now I have been searching to see if there alive in any way. since they haven't tried to kill me I am fine and I think we can be friends I just wish they would talk to me!
When I was little, I used to think that if I walked bare foot, spiders would come out of the ground to come bite my feet. My mother told me this, so that I put socks. She had to buy socks with a princess on.
I used to believe that earwigs crawl in your ears
I use to think if you ate bugs you'd die.
I used to believe that aliens lived in the wharehouse of my house
Hate to tell you, but last night my 17 year old daughter woke up screaming in the middle of the night that a bug was in her ear!. It was horrifying. She felt it crawling around. I advised her to tilt her head and jump up and down and out came an earwig! It was the most disgusting and frightening thing that ever happened to us! So it does happen!
I used to believe that earwigs could crawl inside your ears and lay eggs there, because they are called earwigs.
