During Christmas every year, my favorite CD at my grandmother's to listen to was (and still is) John Denver and The Muppets singing Christmas songs. My favorite was The Twelve Days of Christmas, and when the sixth day came, I always thought the words, instead of "six geese-a-laying," were "six piece of lady." I remember singing along with Skeeter on that part.
A childhood belief about misheard lyrics

others believed things like this

- My favorite excuse:
Must be those trouser geese again!— Tootie Fruity - I believed that Robins hibernated throughout the year and only came out at christmas. Anon
- My Brother used to think that Chris de Burgh was singing 'Lady in bed' instead of lady in red'— Kerry, Manchester
- when i was little i thought that jesus delivered presents on christmas not santa .— gaby
