"Bless us O Lord in these thy gifts which we are about to recieve from thy bounty through Christ our Lord amen."
My family recited this every day before dinner. However, my brother and sister and I all thought it was "Ruth Christ," not "through Christ," and that Ruth Christ was Jesus' sister, since they had the same last name :)
A childhood belief about prayers

others believed things like this
- I believed that Jesus Christ was the son of the Christ family, i.e., Mary and Joseph Christ.— David Araújo
- In a religious song, instead of “Jesus Christ” I heard “Cheese is Prize”— EJ
- I used to believe the Christ was born
on Christmas Day and crucified the
following Easter.— William Golding - I used to think that Christ the royal master leaned against the throne. rather than leads against the foe.Anon
- i used to think that every family had a brother and sister and they married eachother when they got olderAnon
- I used to have to say the Lord's prayer everyday, but I would wonder where my daily bread was.— caledonia
