My mother had many misconceptions about things when she was younger. Her and her friends were imaginative - they would take a large piece of lint, run down the street as fast as tehy could, and think they were flying off to Candyland. She also thought the TV could hear her when she talked.
A childhood belief about family

others believed things like this
- That at meetings adults sat on plastic chairs surrounding a large piece of meatAnon
- I used to think that if I was swinging on a swing fast enough, I could jump off it and start flying.— Nick
- I used to hear "Everytime you go away, you take a piece of Meat with you"
Makes a nice light snack I spose.— Linda - At nights, when I have trouble sleeping, I used to hear large footsteps - something like the Godzilla.— John
- I used to think your belly button was there to collect the lint of your shirt!Anon
- I used to believe that belly button lint came from the *inside*. Why else would it always be the same color?Anon
