If you swallow a seed a plant will grow inside you.

I used to believe that if people swallowed orange seeds, they would grow in their stomachs and very soon branches would come out of their ears. It happened that one day I accidently swallowed one. I remembered running to my Mom and asking her to take me to a doctor. At that time she told me that we should wait until the branches were visible and then she would hire a gardener to tend me! So I waited patiently for weeks. After some time,I decided that the orange seed I accidently swallowed was a bad seed.

As a child I used to think that if you swallowed seeds from any kind of fruit or vegetable, a plant would begin to grow from your stomach and grow so big that it would soon kill you. This resulted in many painstaking hours sifting through meals to remove anything that resembled a seed.

when i was little, my mom told me not to eat apple seed because they would grow into a tree. I thought it would come out of your ears! One day on the bus one of my friends eat a whole apple. All of it. When I got to school, I told the teacher so she could get it out of him.

I used to believe that if you ate an entire apple or the pips of an apple, an apple tree would begin to grow inside your stomach and branches would shoot out your bottom!

When I was little, I used to believe that if I swallowed apple pips, I'd get an apple tree growing in my tummy and it would come out my nose...I still think twice about swallowing apple pips, lol.

I was told by my aunt that if you swallowed gum/ watermelon seeds, that s bubblegum tree/ watermelon plant would grow in my stomach.

dang when i was about 7 or 8 maybe my mom used to give me watermelon and she used to say don't eat the seed because if you do its going to get stuck in your tummy and your going to grow a tree in there...im 16 and i still believe it :D

I used to be afraid of eating anything that had a seed in it. I thought if you drank water it would grow inside of you!

When I was young I remember my parents telling me (and I am assuming all parents told their kids) that if I swollowed the seeds from a watermelon, I would have vines growing from my ears and nose! I tried very hard not to and when I would swallow one, my eyes would get huge and I would start freaking out!

When i was younger my dad would tell me if u ate watermelon seeds a watermelon would grow inside of you. So whenever i accidently ate one i would start to cry.

I used to believe that It was very dangerous to seat a fruit without taking out its seeds because if you pour water after swallowing a seed a tree would start sprouting out of your ears and nose.

my family was eating watermelons and i accidentically ate the seed and i was like dad i ate a seed and he's like omg no you can't do that because then a watermelon would be growing in your stomach now and i believed that for a while and he said the same thing for all fruits.

I use to tell my neice that if she ate a seed from a fruit [[or a common food]] and ate dirt, she would grow that plant in her tummy and she would die, because it got so big that she would bust like a bubble.

When eating oranges, sometimes I would accidentally swallow a pip - then I would be terrified that an orange tree was going to grow inside of me - and leafy branches would soon start to come out of my ears, mouth and eyes.
