When the Furby toys came out, my friend told me that they came over every night from a magic rainbow, with briefcases and little detective coats on. I stayed up late three nights in a row to try and see if he would walk away...but i think Natalie was lying to me...i think.

I once saw a movie in where a doll turned evil and would start glowing its eyes red and try to killl you, it was really creepy and i couldnt ever look atr my toys or my action figures again without thinking theyd kill me. This lead to a dream where toys of the kids show Barny(the big poofy purple dinosaur)
and others were dancing in front of my bed, and when I would try to run out of them room one jumped at me from the door knob I was soooo freaked out by this!!

When i was little i used to belive that barbies hair would grow back just like mine did. I was forever getting in trouble for cutting my barbies hair.

I told mum not that long ago ... she said if she had known i wouldnt have been in trouble. Wish i knew that then

i used to think that my barbies would become alive whenever i wasnt looking, so i would hide under a cover and pretend not to be there, hoping to catch them.

After watching Toy Story when I was little, I believed that you could leave toys in a room for a while, and if you didn't watch them, they would come to life. Well, I would leave my toys in the middle of the floor and walk out of the room and listen at the door. Sometimes I would even quickly open up the door and shut it. I'd watch closely to see if the eyes moved, or I'd turn away and look back and see if there was anything different.

Turns out, I wasn't trying to outsmart anything.

When a was little I saw that show "Are you Afriad of the Dark" about a girl who stayed in her room too long and turned into a doll.
Until the 2nd grade I wouldent stay in my own bedroom for more than an hour.

Growing up I distinctly remember a new report on ABC about Cabbage Patch Kid dolls. The report showed them them on the assembly line and the reporter was talking about them having a name and birth certificate. I was mortified after that report because I thought that they made the Cabbage Patch kids from real babies and couldn't figure out how they turned them into plastic or why someone would kill a baby to make a doll.

I used to be a big fan of Sesame Street, like most young children. I had a few Sesame Street toys. One of them was a stuffed Elmo doll that sang the alphabet when you squeezed its tummy.

One day when I was playing with that Elmo doll, I noticed that it had a rip in its back. I opened it up, and I pulled out the device that the sound came out of. It had a big button on it, so I pressed it. Sure enough, it sang the alphabet in Elmo's voice.

To make a long story short, I was distraught that it wasn't really Elmo that was singing.

I used to think the car on 'Free Parking' in Monopoly was a red telephone, since the car was viewed from the front and had a strange white circle on the hood. It looked a bit like a telephone with a dial and receiver.

When I was about 3, I left my teddy bear in the library. My mom went back to get it for me. A few years later, she told me this story and that the bear knew how to read. I told my little sister this and set the bear up with a book. When she wasn't looking, I turned the pages. She really believed the bear could read.

i used to think that my toys came to life when i wasn't in the room. i was absolutely amazed that they were clever enough to return to the same position as when i had left them, except of course that barbie's show was inexplicably missing. what was she doing with ken? hmmmm

I used to believe that toys were actually alive, but whenever you were in the room they stopped moving and talking, much like in Toy Story. Needless to say that sometimes, I think I still hear movements in rooms without me in them...

I used to think that all puzzles had frames in which to put the pieces. The first puzzle I ever recieved that didn't have one made me very angry, because I thought that the person who gave it to me had somehow picked out a defective puzzle and was refusing to admit it.
