Anon is a person's name

up until afew minutes ago i used to believe that "Anon" was a name and not the beggining of the word "anonimous".i was wondering"who the hell is this "Anon"that he/she would use to believe something belonging to every single category in this web site...Jul/01/2004

well you know how on this website when you post a belief, you don't have to put your name and your name just shows up as "Anon" (short for anonymous i suppose). well, i was reading these funny beliefs and i was like, "woah, this person, Anon, keeps submitting a lot of beliefs. they used to believe a lot of strange things, huh." and then one of the beliefs said that she was French, and i was like, "wow, i didnt know Anon was a french name." and then it came to me...Anon is Anonymous!

On this website, for ages I belived that Anon was an actual person! Then one day I clicked it and it said "This belief was submitted anonymously." No wonder Anon had so many personalities!

P.S. Anon always used to be a girl...

When I first visited this site I noticed that this person named 'Anon' was always contradicting himself in his many different 'i used to believe' stories. I figured that this paerson must spend the whole day sitting at his computer making up stories for this website!

I was really confused about "Anon" until recently. I was like "How could this person post so many times?" And I was really confused because some made it seem like Anon was a girl and sometimes a boy, so yeah, I think you know what I mean. LOL

I thought, when I came to this website, that Anon was a very popular name. I wondered why so many people were named that. A few minutes ago I clicked on the name and it said "by anonomous". Oops!

When I was 10 I went to bored.com and saw this website. Considering that I was 10 at the time, most of the humor flew over my head. Either way, when I read the entries by Anon, I thought Anon was a real person!

I used to think "Anonymous" was an ancient Greek philosopher (I guess I was confusing it with Aristotle), and that he came up with a lot of different ideas. I was ten years old before I found out differently.

Lost-long sister of Socrates

I was reading this site my sister came in and joined me. She saw that a lot of the stories were written by "Anon" It took her about 40 stories (not all by Anon)to figure out that Anon was short for anonymous. Now my sister is one of the smartest girls in her grade so I was surprised.


By the way, my sister is 13.

I didn't realize until I read the Anon section that Anon was anonomous! i would get really ticked off that anon was sending in all these loads of stuff. then, i realized that anon wasn't a person, but a bunch! Boy am i dumb! :D

When I saw 'Anon' on this site, I thought that he was maybe the moderator/inventor of this site, because it had a link. But certian belifes led me to think that Anon, (which I pictured as an African immigrant) was both a boy and a girl, and I was shocked. I found out otherwise when I clicked on the link.

hahaha! i thought anon was some dumb kid who was making stuff up! I was like.... his beliefs are contridicting himself i a lot!!! i then went on to look for all of his posts to prove myself. Still confused... i went under language and clicked on anon. hahahah... im 19 i am still a little confused. :P

When I first found this site I thought when someone put 'Anon' as their name, that was ACTUALLY their name. I always said the person had some STRANGE beliefs.
