Cheques (checks) and cash from the ATM are free money
This section contains beliefs all on a common theme: Cheques (checks) and cash from the ATM are free money.I also used to believe If you had a credit card the money is free
When I was a kid, I thought the money from the ATMs was free and that it was printed on the spot.
When I was younger I always saw my mum taking money out the ATM and I always thought that the ATM made money and you could take as much as you wanted!
top belief!
I used to believe that cash machines gave you all the money you want. And I didn't understand why poor persons didn't want to use them.
When I was younger I used to think that cash back meant the shopkeeper would give you free money and I never understood why my mum would say 'no thank you'
I used to believe that you could create money (that you didn't previously have) by writing a check.
Up until the age of 8, I believed that when you made withdrawls from the bank (which I did with my mom), the bank was just giving away free money...I REALLY wanted a bank account!
top belief!
My sisters used to believe that banks were simply where you got money from; if you're out of money, you simply to go the bank and get more. My father would once in a while complain about something being too expensive, and my sisters would tell him not to worry as the bank has plenty of money available for everybody. We told them it was not so... they finally believed us when they were about 12.
I used to believe that with a credit card, you could get anything you wanted for free.
When I was little I believed that all you had to write on the top line of a check was what you wanted the money for, and you would get it. So if I wrote "swimming pool" than I would get it.
When I was little, I believed that banks were places where anyone could go in and take some money for free.
My Son used to think that if you have no money all you had to do was go to the grocery store and the Cashier would give you some.
When I was little I thought I could solve world famine and poverty by just printing more money and giving it to everyone! I wondered why the governments hadn't thought of it already!
I used to believe when a cashier at a grocery store asked my mom "Do you want cash back?" that he was offering free money. I couldn't understand why my mom would ever say no.
When I was in kindergarten, my friend and I couldn't figure out why grown-ups didn't just write a check when they needed money- we were convinced if you wrote a check, the bank gave you the money, no questions asked!
when I was little, I believed that everyone could get any amount money they wanted for free at any ATM machine. I never actually tried this.
When I was little, from three to eight years old. I thought we could get as much money as you want from an Automatic Teller Machine. My mum kept on trying to explain to me that "Money doesn't grow in the bank" to me and "Money doesn't grow in trees" to my younger brother and therefore we can only take a limited amount of money from the bank. I slowly began to realise a few years later that my family can only withdraw the money my dad earned from the bank.
I used to believe that when you ran out of money, all you had to do is go to an ATM to get some more! I've never proven my theory.
when i was younger i used to belive that them where lots of little men printing money out of the cash machine for the people that wanted it and you could have as much as you wanted.
i used to believe atms gave out money just by standing in front of one. when out shopping and mum or dad would say to me i couldnt have an ice cream id go stand in front of an atm waiting for money to come out.
