When I was little, my older (and cruel) sister told me that the story line for the episode of Rugrats in which Chuckie eats a watermelon seed and a watermelon grows in his tummy was actually possible.

I still refuse to swallow seeds for fear that I might have a tree grow out of my ass.

A book I read when I was really young gave me a bizarre idea of eating seeds. I always used to believe that when you accidentally swallowed any kind of seed- like watermelon or lemon seeds, a huge tree would grow inside of you. I imagined branches coming out through my mouth, ears and nose. I stopped believing that up till I was 13 years old or so.

I was told as a child if you swallowed any pips, no matter if it was on purpose or by accident, the pip will grow in your stomach and a tree of that particular fruit pop through the top of your head...scared me for years! Never thought to ask how..!?

when i was a kid, i was fun of eating fruits which has seeds...
but i was very cautious not to ingest the seeds, no matter how small it is because I USED TO BELIEVE it'll grow in our tummy anytime we ingest it... and i couldn't imagine how i will manage a plant or tree growing inside of me....
