i had heard (roughly) the story of pandoras box where by she opened the lid and all the horrible things spread into the world... well... i used to think my closet was pandoras box and that if i left the doors open bad things would happen.... out of habit i still to this day cannot fall asleep with them open!!!!
I was quite certain, that at all times there were two people living in my closet, on the right side. One was tall, skinny and very evil, his name was Irn. He wanted me dead. The second was short, fat, and quite sweet, Thomas. Whenever Irn wanted to kill me there was always an excuse from Thom to keep me alive. ie school picture, test, birthday, race etc. Irn was also the source of all my nightmares. One day Irn got fed up and left, and my nightmares stopped. Thom stayed on...but recently it's just been part time.
I used to think that when i would go to bed, a portal would open up in my closet, and spew a neverending legion of undead soldiers. When i had a dream that was exactly like i explained it and i woke up, i realized it would only happen in my dreams and never in real life.
after watching kikng kong with my dad (the old black and white one), i believed a gorilla lived in my closet. to this day, i still cannot sleep with my closet door open. i know- it's weird.
I believed that a werewolf lived in my mothers wardrobe and if sprayed with water from the spray bottle I was given (courtsey of my mother) that he wouldnt get me. She tells me that when she would still be awake and watching TV she could hear me spraying the bottle into the air!
When I was a child, I believed that if I left the doors of my wardrobe open at night, an elephant would come out of it and terrorize me. If I realised I'd forgotten to shut the doors, I'd get out of bed and close them - no matter how comfortable I was. I still do this.
k, so when i was little, i had this pink minni mouse canope over my bed. i thought it could protect me from monster attacks. i also believed that every night a good and a bad monster would battle in my room. the bad one came from my right closet and the good one came from the left. (i believe both closets led to different monster worlds.) Both monsters hated each other too.
When I was little I could've sworn something lived in my closet. Every night I would hurry up and close it and turn on my night light. Since I thought the light chased it away. Sometimes I would hear noises coming out of my closet in the middle of the night and it always ended up that I locked my cat in my closet.
A couple of years ago my sister told me that a ghost would be hiding in the closet and when my sister locked me in the closet i nearly died with fright (it was so dark!).
My mom would often use the expression, "skeleton in the closet" when someone in our neighborhood had a secret. I took this a bit literaly and thought there actually was a skeleton in the closet and that was what they did to kids who were being bad.
When I was a tiny little kid, I slept in my parents bed at night. In their room, there were two closets that would be able to hold a human. So, at that young age, I thought that Michael Myers lived in there. And I also read on the internet that someone in a Halloween movie made fun of Mike and died. So every day I would be careful never to say anything bad about him. Now that I am older, I am in love with the Halloween films.
I used to believe that e.t. was hiding in my closet.
I used to believe that a monster lived in my closet and would come out and get me at night.
when i was young i used to belive that there was a little goblin was living in my wardrobe because i would leave my wardrobe realy messy and sort of emety and the next day it was full and tidy! :)
I seriously used to believe that Bert from Sesame Street lived in my closet and that he was going to kill me.
When I was younger, I half-believed that there were monsters in my closet or hiding in the shadows that would come out at night. However, I decided that the monsters were backwards monsters that didn't see things the right way. They could only hurt me if I had my eyes closed, because if you had your eyes open then the monsters were powerless. But when my eyes were closed, they thought my eyes were open and didn't come out, and when my eyes were open they thought they were closed, and so even if they came out they couldn't hurt me.
Alternately, I thought the monsters were easily embarassed and wouldn't come out if you didn't have clothes on. But when you had your clothes on, they thought you were naked, and didn't come out. Since I never slept naked, this meant I was always safe.
When i was little i used to believe that the boogie man lived in my closet, but when i went into my closet, he quickly went under my bed, so one day i decided to mix a bunch of nasty crap in a dish a feed it to him, so i put it on my dresser, hid in my closet and called for him to go and eat it. without me knowing, my sister was listening and took it out of my room so i would think he ate it. when i came out of the closet i noticed it was gone and i thought i defeated the boogie man and was all proud until my sister finally told me she did it. which was a long time after
I used to think that Freddie Kreuger was in my closet with his scary nails reaching out under the door crack to get me. I never had my bed next to the closet when I was little!
When I saw the movie Boogeyman, I was scared to death when we got home, thinking the Boogeyman would pop out of a closet.I tried to board up the closets in the house like in the movie, using wood,a hammer and nails.
I used to think the cast of "the Munster" lived in my closet and when the show came on i would sneak up to my closet and see if they had left yet
