I used to believe that under my bed was a verry big rat who was making some freakin` noizes just when I tried to sleep...And those noizes were so terifying, that I always slept until 7 years with the light on...

When I was four, I dreamt that a little man who wore a three-piece suit and carried a briefcase used to live under my bed. In my dream he cut off one of my fingers when I hung my hand down and I went running crying to my mother in the morning, but she explained that my finger was still there. After that, I always did the "run and jump" into bed. The wierd thing is, we lived on an army base in Germany and had no TV. I always wonder how I even had that picture in my mind. Past-life remembrance perhaps?

when I was 7, I used to believe that if you opened your eyes at night, you would see a little man peek out from under your bed. then he'd grab you and pull you under. I still sleep with my eyes closed facing the wall.

I used to believe that a warewolf lived under my bed and in the toilet under the stairs. I had to run as fast as i could up the stairs and jump on to my bed, while watching out for the warewolfs claws. I wouldn't go to the toilet at night incase the warewolf came out from under the bed.

I was about 5-6 years old when I spent the night at an older friend's house. She told me that there were fingernails under the bed that would come out and get me if any body part (like your foot or hand) were hanging over the side of the bed.

This fact was confirmed the following morning while we were making the bed...her cat - hiding under the bed - scratched my foot. I about jumped out of my skin. For years I had to sleep squarely in the middle of the bed.

I was a very messy child. Whenever my parents would tell me to clean my room (which was extremely often), like so many other kids I would just shove everything under the bed. Well, eventually I'd want something back that I'd stuck under there. For some reason, whenever I went looking for that particular object, I could never find it, no matter what. So I soon developed the belief that there was a hole under my bed controlled by leprechuans, who kept stealing my stuff and throwing it down this hole in a desperate attempt to make me cry. Needless to say, it worked.

I used to hate going to sleep, I would kick and scream an run around my room, so to make me get in bed my mom told me that there were gypsies that wander around at night, and if little girls aren't in their beds at 8 or whenever my bedtime was, the gypsies would come and put them in a sack and take them away forever. I would hide under my covers and not let even my little toe stick out. I also didn't want them to grab my feet when I was getting into bed so I would get a running start in the hall and jump as far as i could to get to bed.

When I was young my bed was against the wall. I used to belive if I got too close to the crack I would shrink and fall down. The fear was hightened when my brother told me a troll lived there.

I was young when I saw the movie E.T. He freaked me out so bad. I started having dreams about him chasing me. And started to think he lived under my bed. I would wake up in the middle of the night from a bad dream, and run to my parents room up stairs. While trying to get there, I would think he was chasing me and as soon as I touch their bed he would go away. To this day I am still freaked out by him. And have not watched the movie.

I used to belive that if all of my body except my head was not covered by a blanket or sheet while I slept, a man would chop the exposed body parts off. Strangly enough, I wasn't scared by this.

i was convinced this was real untill i finally admitted to myself that i HAD to be dreaming:
when i was really young, like 3 or 4, i was lying in bed and all of a sudden my room filled up with water to my bed. a little ship sailed over and "docked" on my bed. these little tiny pilgrims got out and started talking in really deep, scary voices. thats all i remember.

man, i was so weird

At age 3, after seeing the adams family of course, annually every night i had my ritual dream (or at least i think it was, but anything goes at 3) of where i light on looking over the edge of my bed while snuggled up to a teddy bear, sometimes 4 or 5 of them. I looked down at the carpet, which was swarmed by 15 or so "Things" (aka hands). One particular night, my final night of having the terrifying dream, I got a little to close to the edge of the bed, and my biggest mistake of all, Teddy wasn't snuggled up against me to fight them off in case of emergency. Suddenly i fell off of my bed and onto the floor covered with "Things". In a pure state of shock, I began screaming, screaming, and screaming. Still dreaming, I saw the hands turn and rush towards me. I rolled the only place I could, away from them, which also happened to be under the bed, infested with several more hands. Still, things managed to do the impossible! Get even worse. I could no longer see my Thomas the Train Night Light!!! I screamed, cryed, and screamed some more. Within seconds my dad was in the room to help me out from under the bed.

Once, when I was 8 yrs old or so, my older sister, age 10 , told me that a person name Jakrin Anger would "come and strangle me to death while I was in my bed, anyday now".
Gullible child I was, every night I would make my mum and dad check everywhere for a person named Jakrin. they laughed, but realized that I was serious when I began to cry.
I finally, FINALLY, stopped my fear of Jakrin when I was 11, when my sister finally decided to end the stupid little trick. Needless to say, I was steaming.

I used to think that there was an alligator under my bed. I wouldn't go to bed until my dad built me a ramp so I didn't have to walk near my bed.

top belief!

Until I was about 10, I used to be convinced my great-grandma lived under my bed and that if I dangled my feet, she would pull me under and kill me. A recent talk with my mom, I found out she had the same belief!
